Juno's Kitchen & Delicatessen — Restaurant in Sacramento

Who else spends 20 plus minutes trying to find your next meal? I wanted a sandwich and salad and came across Juno. I was reading the reviews and was sold by the photos, the place is tiny, but they have outdoor seating with umbrellas. The person working the counter (who I assume was the owner) was amazing. I would give this place 5 stars based of his service. He was very attentive, friendly, came outside and constantly checked on the customers, chatted with them, and was really on top of making sure everyone had what they needed. Now for the food.....Oh my gosh. I got the smoked trout sandwich, and i'll get it again. It was heavenly!! Apples, arugula, manchego cheese & aioli. My mouth waters just thinking about that sandwich. It was served with a very small side of potatoes which were extremely tasty. I also got the Kale Caesar salad, tt was perfect, full of flavor. You think ehh a salad, but No... this was so much more. So many amazing flavors bursting in your mouth, I took the remains of my salad home and it made a perfect dinner. It tasted just as good, and did not get soggy like most salads do. Kale Yeah!

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!

If you have never tried Juno's before, you are absolutely in for a delicious treat! My cousins had come into town and wanted to take my family to lunch, so we yelped some good sandwich shops and decided on Juno's. It was a nice, sunny Saturday afternoon and all the tables and seats in the front were completely full and there were people standing in line to take their orders to-go. However, they have a small, private room in the back, which they set up for us to sit down.

Out of six of us, we ordered three "Today's Steak" sandwiches, two Banh Mi's, and one burger. For the Banh Mi, although it was flavorful, I'm a fan of the authentic Vietnamese sandwich, thus, the Banh Mi was not my favorite sandwich here. However, the Today's Steak sandwich was completely out of this world! The steak is tender and juicy and mixed with the cheese and the sauce and that fantastically fresh bread, I was in Steak Sandwich Heaven!!!

And that Burger! It was dripping with burger juice and flavor I was licking my fingers after every bite! I can't get enough of this place and have been back several times for pick up orders. This place is a must try if you so much as enter into...

Somehow I've been missing out on this wonderful little place for the past 6 years. Blink and you'll miss it, without any attention grabbing signage, I walked right past and I was even looking for it. Once inside it's just a simple little kitchen with a small number of seats. I tried the pastrami sandwich and a shrimp and pasta dish. The pasta was excellent, perfectly cooked noodles (NOT over boiled) with a really nice sauce. There were a surprising number of shrimp to be had - a very nice surprise with so many restaurants counting out exactly 5 or 6 shrimp per entree. There had to have been 15+ shrimps in the dish. The pastrami was absolutely terrific. Perfect portion of tasty meat, wonderful pepper seed mustard and exactly enough pickle to fill the sandwich and give that contrasting flavor. I mean right down to the last bite, I was getting every intended flavor - masterfully done. The bread was excellent too. Looking forward to going back and trying the next item....
