My fiancee and me went to the Christkindlmarkt there for the first time on December 3, 2022. I am of German heritage and really wanted to go. I am also disabled, and use a walker, and navigating this place was a challenge, especially since it was raining. There are no handicapped ramps or signs in the front of the building indicating where and if there's a ramp. We had to ask someone if there was a ramp, and quite inconvenient... it's way around the back. There is a handicapped restroom, way at the back as well. The elevator going to the second floor is quite small and the space upstairs to get in and out with a walker is very cramped. The Christkindlmarkt was fine, but there weren't as many vendors as I anticipated. I was looking to purchase German Holiday goodies and fresh baked goodies and perhaps some decorations. The German sausage lunch served upstairs was quite delicious with a German beer! After we ate, we did some shopping and really enjoyed the German band and dancers. Then it was time for traditional coffee and cake, which was very nice. On the way out, we stopped and bought some handmade German themed scarves from a lovely Oma! I grew up in Wiesbaden, Germany for several years and we always went to the Christkindlmarkt. Being at this one transported me back to my childhood and everyone we met...
Read moreVery nice event! They have this event at Christmas on Saturday and Sunday. It smells of wonderfully of delicious baked goods, cakes, candies. There was cinammon coffee downstairs. And upstairs they had coffees and desserts. A lot of beautiful handmade items, such as baby and children, knitted caps. There was jewelry, traditional clothing, children's crafts area, a European train exhibit, and a library. It was decorated beautifully. The school is wonderful too. I took German lessons there for one session and would have continued had it not been for the commute and night driving. The teacher was awesome. Additionally, the building itself...

With that being said, the flow through the aisles is very congested. There isn't much that can be done about it, unfortunately. Maybe this year, the crowdedness was accentuated due to my mother needing a walker to get around. There are many great wares, crafts, and demonstrations to purchase or take part in. The Markt is a wonderful thing; I wish for it's...
