My family has been going to this restaurant since I was a little girl, I am now 31. It has changed over the years and while some changes are good, others are not. They changed the restrooms per ADA standards which I thought was a shame. There is more room in the restrooms now but the old ones had such charm and character that the new doors lack. They did some redecorating which I really like although I think the TVs are a horrible addition. I don't want to sit and watch TV while I am enjoying a dinner with my dad, I want to talk to him. I would prefer it if they got rid of the stupid things, this new addition really does leave me cold. There is also the change of the size of the flag flown outside, it used to be the size of flag flown on naval ships but now it half the size. That huge flag was a landmark for those of us who lived in the area. As far as the food is concerned I am not as impressed with it. When I was a child I would always order the Chili Size which is an open faced burger smothered with chili and cheese. It was always my favorite thing to order and I always did. I do not any longer as I don't like the chili they use for it. If they went back to the kind of chili they used when I was a kid I would happily order it again. They do have great steaks but the overall quality of their food has sadly gone downhill. I was there with my father a few weeks ago and ordered the ribs as they were a specialty. When I got them they looked as if they had been baked and hadn't even seen so much as a lick of flame. They were not very tender and they were not very good. I don't really like beef ribs and they tasted like poorly prepared beef ribs. And the bbq sauce looked like it had been watered down and ladled on top. It was a very disappointing meal. I did enjoy the baked potato though and my dog found the ribs very much to her liking. Ten years ago I would have happily gone with my dad here now, unless I order the porterhouse, (which isn't always cooked the way I prefer it-medium well) then I'd rather go somewhere else. And for a restaurant that holds many great memories, this is a...
Read moreAs I write this i want to note that this is not my first time coming here and have been coming here for a long time especially now that the other Perry's is gone.
I came here on a beautiful sunday with my girlfriend. The restaurant was slightly busy when we got there but got seated really quick id say about 3-5 mins within walking in which was great. After we sat and ordered coffee I quickly decided what i wanted and closed my menu but my girlfriend is somewhat indecisive when it comes to ordering food so i decided to hop on my phone real quick to write up drafts for this spot since i forgot to write the review from our previous amazing experiences here. When our waiter came around which I believe his name was Jeff, asked if we were ready and naturally respectfully told him no that we needed more time because of my girl. The waiter then told me to get off my phone in a hard to read tone that was somewhat stern.. I shrugged it off since we werent being rude and had nothing but smiles on our faces. After that incident there was a very obvious difference in the service we were receiving vs the other patrons that were being waited on by our server. We did our best not to let it ruin our Sunday morning as this spot has never given us problems. My girlfriend and i heard our server ask every table in his section if they were doing alright, if they enjoyed their food or if they would like something else, and even more dessert a couple of times but didnt bother to ask us anything.. We overheard Jeff offer the table next to us a strawberry shortcake dessert which sounded amazing but sadly we were tossed our check instead.
We both ordered our steaks medium rare and got well done steaks instead but they were still flavorful and worth the $8.95 special. My girlfriend and I agreed to avoid this mans table areas.. But we have our other favorite waittress who always gives us phenomenal service even when its busy!
We still left a 15% tip for him and remained our happy respectful selves throughout...
Read moreWe’ve been coming here for years and today was just horrible. Our waitress, who we’ve had before, a Hispanic woman with blonde hilights, was horrendous. Everyone who was sat in her section today had to get up out of their booths and ask for something. She DID NOT come to our table at all!! An older couple had to wait so long for coffee and the older gentleman finally stood up and went to find her. Another woman had to go hunt for ketchup. Unacceptable.
The food deserves its own separate review. Gross. Oily, bloody and tasteless. We told the waitress about it and she brushed us off. We asked to speak to the manager and she came and was asking us what we expected her to do! Lady you are the owner, your restaurant is going to shit. You need better employees and a better cook. Roberto is not it. The owner told us Roberto cooked our food. Why are you telling me that as if I know him? She did comp 50% of our meal and the horrible waitress we had was so surprised . I have never been so disappointed with service in my life. We will never be going back there - the waitress solidified that.
They have no carbonation - so don’t order any sodas. They have dirty cutlery - so ask for plastic. The booths are tiny - so ask for a regular table. The salad is old and wilted - order at your own risk. Waitress is rude and passive - only God can change her.
The only good thing I can say about this restaurant is the hostess with the short hair.. God bless her! She was so understanding and tried to help us.

While you claim to prioritize customer satisfaction, your response to my review suggests otherwise. My experience clearly demonstrates a failure to meet those standards. I hope you'll take this feedback seriously and make the necessary improvements. Instead of disputing my experience, perhaps focus on improving your food quality, your customer service, and the cleanliness of your restaurant. This was once a wonderful diner with a working...
