Very disappointing card shop for many reasons. This place used to be like a playlive where you could play games but now they've scrapped all that after covid and are soley a tcg store. There's no problem with that but these people have done it all wrong. The owners have mapped all of the boxes so that there is no chance to get any optimal rarities. I was told they do this so they can sell the rarest cards online. This place feels like a place solely to display the owner's personal collection rather than an actual store. There is a $5 charge (or a monthly charge of $25 dollars that includes bathroom use) to sit down at the tables which is ridiculous. Every other card shop I've been to requires you to at least buy something but Bounty wants $5 regardless of what you purchase. Lastly the staff is incredibly unprofessional. We parked in front just for someone to be vaping by the door and he turned out to be the only person on staff at that time. Nolan did not know what we were searching for and prefered to just make idle chatter rather than run the front counter. All in all, a very low quality place. If you need card supplies you can do much better in the Elk...
Read moreA lot of variety of tcg supplies, including a fair bit of anime products. The employees could be better, they are nice but could be more helpful. They know how to play the basics of the card games that they carry and can teach you how to play. If you're looking to learn more, you'll have to learn from the community. The Vanguard and Weiss Schwarz community are very helpful and nice (they helped me learn alot through out the last year). Boxes are not mapped and only a few of the Trial Decks Display boxes are dead/mapped but sold for a cheaper price like other sellers do. Tables and chairs are very nice. Bathroom is kept clean. The $5 table fee is fine if you're only playing and not buying anything, and if you do spend a certain amount, I feel the table fee should be waived so you don't have to pay for merch and the table fee. I can't say much for tournaments but not being a member is $15 and being a member is $13 to enter. The membership program could use some work (was a member for about 3 months or less) didn't receive alot of the benefits so I didn't feel it was...
Read moreI called and pre-ordered a box of one piece OP06 and they put my name down. A week before release date I called to get an update on the box and the worker said they see my name and I can purchase 1 box on release day for $120. I attended their pre-release event and we were given a chance to purchase a box for $175. I told them that they had already told me I can purchase a box that Friday at $120. They then looked at their list of people and said yes I'm on the list and I can buy a box for $120 on Friday. That Friday morning I get a phone call from a worker and he said I can still purchase a box but the box will cost $200. I said, but you guys said to me twice I can buy a box for $120. They did not honor their words. I will never go back to this store and will share my horrible experience with every tcg...
