I was going to give this place a decent review despite how horrible my stay was only because of how nice the manager was after that horrible stay. However, after i found out that same manager did to me, i am going to write about how horrible this place is!!!! When I arrived, the receptionist, a heavy set lady in her 30's, was in backroom watching TV or something. Me and another guest were standing there saying "hello" trying to get her attention so we could check in. We finally did after the other guest yelled it. Instead of helping us, she starts yelling at the security guard because he didn't come get her to tell her we had showed up!!! All right in front of 2 guests that were checking in!!! My 2nd night, it looked to be that a prostitution ring had been going on in 1 room with a bunch of girls who couldn't be any older than 14 and the hotel security had kicked them out. The adult that was there was yelling and screaming, keeping everyone up very late at night. Then, 1 car kept coming in and out of the parking lot blaring their music so loud that all windows were rattling!!! I went up 3 times to complain, 3rd time telling them to take care of it or I was calling the cops cause I had to be up at 6, this was at about 2 or 3 am. Next day, manager was there, I told him about everything, he offered to give me a reduced rate for the next weekend, which I took at that moment. I kept telling him it wasn't necessary, that all I was asking was for him to talk to his receptionist. He kept insisting, saying that because I wasn't asking for any compensation he wanted to do something for me. However, when I got home I was so tired from not being able to sleep that I called him and told him it wasn't his fault but I couldn't stay there cause I needed a quiet hotel. He then said he wanted to mail me a free nights stay and once again, I told him it wasn't necessary , that he didn't have to pay for the horrible people that were staying there that night. He still insisted. I never received it. This weekend, I wasn't sure if I was going to need a hotel or not until last night and this one was the only one I could afford that was close to where I had to go. I called to confirm around 4:30 and was told my reservation was cancelled!!!! That I was not welcome there!!! I went there hoping to speak with the manager, told security guard that i would wait in parking lot to speak with him so it wasnt in lobby in front of all the guests. That manager came out, saw me, i told him (while on phone with corporate) that i had been waiting to speak with him, i tried to walk towards him but he got in his car too quickly, so i had to yell across the parking lot. Apparently, me doing that and asking to speak with him was causing a disturbance as well. So he put me on the black list again just for wanting to speak to him!!!! I called another corporate office and was informed by them that this manager had black listed me back on my first stay for disturbance and then today as well!!!! I never made a disturbance!!! I was the one being disturbed!!!! This hotel has messed with the wrong person and will be hearing from my attorney for a lawsuit for defamation of character, slander, undue stress and many other things!!! Thanks to him I had to drive back to the Bay area after being on the road for 12 hours today because I was never called to be told I couldn't stay there!!!! This manager, the male, needs to be fired and he will be personally sued along with Motel 6!!!! STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!!!! THE MALE MANAGER IS PSYCHO!!!!! YOU WILL GET BOOTED JUST FOR COMPLAINING!!!! ALSO GET BLACK LISTED FROM ALL MOTEL 6'S JUST FOR COMPLAINING!!! HE WILL MAKE UP ANY LIES HE CAN TO DO SO!!!! Trust me, they haven't heard the...
Read moreImmediately upon arriving I knew my stay was going to be an issue. I had booked my room through the Motel 6 app at an amazing rate. When I arrived initially the Motel did not want to honor the rate and told me they would have to approve it with their boss. Luckily the corporate center for Motel 6 actually does an amazing job, 5 stars to them. It’s the franchisees that lack luster. Corporate did make the MOTEL honor my rate. I initially thought this meant they were going to honor the ROOM and the RATE. Well they only honored the rate and the room I booked and the room I received were not the same. I booked a deluxe room that was at the very least supposed to have a fridge. I was put in a standard room with no fridge or microwave, I am a long term guest, 15 days, that’s kind of a problem. Let’s go back to the beginning however. I had requested to not have to move room so kindly asked them to make sure I could stay in my room, the entire stay. What appears to be a manager figure said that would be fine, I was extremely pleased with my room from the first night and it was the same room type I had booked for both my individual reservations, I had one for one night and one for 14 nights. In the morning I went back down to settle up my second reservation ( the one with the rate they didn’t want to honor), I was informed that I was in fact going to have to move rooms AND I had to move all my things out for at least 3 hours. If you’re keeping track that’s 2 times this place was shady, trying to not honor rate and lying to me about not having to change rooms. When I came back to the motel and got my second room I was disappointed to say the least. The room was half the size of the room I had the night before, there was not fridge, and no microwave. I went to the front desk and requested a move to a deluxe room rather than standard per my reservation. I was told that yes they could move me the next day, I went back the next day to ask for my new room and was told, they would actually just bring me a fridge. I was fine with that resolution. NO FRIDGE came. I waited 2 days basically not leaving my room waiting for this fridge that never came. Now lets talk about housekeeping. I understand its “Covid” or whatever but when I request housekeeping 1 time in 2 weeks and am told I have to handle it all myself, that’s disturbing. When I requested simply new towels and bedsheets with a housekeeper right out my door and I’m told I have to go to front desk and ask and then take my own towels and sheets to the on site laundry. I’m sorry this is a motel not a freaking hostel. It’s a good thing I paid what I did for this room because the staff was off putting and extremely passive aggressive. I’ve played maid to my own room and continually have to go to the front desk for a new key because theirs suck. It’s a good thing this motel is a beautiful setup and they are updating the rooms because the staff and service will put this place out of business. i would have left after my second day if the room wasn’t so stupid cheap. I guess you get what you pay for. By far the worst motel 6 I’ve stayed at and I found a cockroach in my room at Blackstone South...
Read moreSecurity is on point here! Rooms were clean and fresh. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. I Loved the hardwood floors, very nice size mini fridge and large microwave. Also another plus for this Motel 6 is how it's kinda tucked away from the street. The Night Security Guard was definitely on his job. Which at first offended me (see below) but later made me feel safe and secure.
Caution: Don't try to sneak in an additional adult without paying! You will be Evicted! The moment you pull in, SG gets on his walkie-talkie to tell the Front Desk Staff what type of car you are in and how many people are in the vehicle. Then, once you go inside to check-in, he walks around your vehicle and looks inside.
Also, all visitors MUST CHECK IN AT THE FRONT DESK with a valid ID or DL or they will get a ticket on their vehicle within minutes of parking. They are VERY strict and want to know EVERY ADULT who is on the property, whether you are staying or visiting. So dont risk it. You will be Evicted. Visiting hours are over at 10pm so if your visitor is planning to stay past that time, be prepared to pay for an additional adult or be prepared for their vehicle to be ticketed and towed and for you to be evicted. All vehicles must have a parking permit and you CANNOT BACK YOUR CAR INTO A PARKING SPACE. Doing so will result in an automatic eviction. Evictions mean NO REFUNDS. If you follow the property's policies you should have no problems.
My experience: The front desk staff had informed me (while I was checking in) that the SG told her I was hiding someone in my SUV. My 10 year old daughter and 4 year old son were sleep in my vehicle (and apparently he scared the heck out of my kids when he went to look in my vehicle to see if I was "hiding another adult." ) I laughed it off at that moment but later thought about it.... Not all people looking for a room late at night are trying to get over or are up to no good. I understand the security policies but this assumption he made was based on what? Tinted windows? Or...???
Other than that, my almost 2 week stay here was great! Housekeeping staff was polite and helpful. And I experienced no issues with security (because I followed all rules.) I Would most definitely stay here again.
Hope my review...
