I read the reviews prior to booking a room. I was a little concerned but I figured I would be spending very little time in the room and just needed a place to unwind in the evening. My father had thoracic cancer surgery at UC Davis. My husband reserved the room for me. I brought the credit card with me since my husband stayed home with the dogs and to go to work. After 2 1/2 hours of driving in 105° heat, I arrived at the Inn. Though the room was reserved in my name, because the card is in my husband's name, the Inn would not accept it. I was the one who was rude, not the young lady at the counter. Because I arrived a day earlier than my reservation, I paid cash for that night (Dad needed to report for surgery at 5:00 the next morning). I was upset but wanted to get out of the heat. I wasn't planning on spending $700 cash for the room but I did the next day. And, I apologized for being rude. Although I didn't appreciate it at the time, I had to acknowledge and appreciate the measure of security they have in place. I could have been anybody booking a room with a stolen credit card. I was in a smoking room. My brother stayed elsewhere (near the UC Davis campus) but would come to my room after the long days at the hospital and smoke and have a beer or glass of wine. Yes, some areas of the Inn parking lot are more difficult to maneuver than others. Sometimes I had to park a couple spaces down from the front of my room. My room was clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable (I did bring my favorite pillow from home). There is a dorm room sized refrigerator with a small freezer, microwave, good size flat screen tv, LOTS of plugs and USB ports along the night stands and table, a large bathroom though the shower is kinda small. There are hardwood floors (I really appreciate not having carpet!). It's a straight shot down Stockton Blvd. to the UC Davis campus (I am directionally challenged). I stayed a week. I left a $20 tip for my housekeeper (she did that good of a job). It was quiet and I felt safe. The Highway Patrol office is adjacent to the Inn property. I will stay here again if I need to travel to this side of Sacramento again. Sacramento water is horrible. I live in Tuolumne County and the water is fresh. Bring water with you! I didn't see any homeless people around the Inn. The guests were quiet and respectful. There's a Grocery Outlet less than a mile away. There's places to eat and get gas nearby. The freeway is close. The price is right. 5...

💫 10 million review views later here we are again. In America being treated as a second…no third class citizen. ⭐️
I literally stood in front of the CHP and waiting.
I had to bust out the camera before I received any decent treatment. Their tune only changed when I began to record them like they record guests. They are watching every move and it’s creepy. You will get profiled know this ahead of time. Constitution goes both ways we don’t live in an imperialistic way here.
Dangerous area yet from the hotel itself however low class racist undertones …am I too American??
It seems to appear that: Buying high reviews? What else could be taking place here??
I Stayed here 10-12 times and with every stay I am treated worse. There is not only a language barrier but a definite racist undertone coming from the manager.
I am having a vehicle issue so ended up staying here against my better judgment. I was indeed rewarded with a stonewall reproach by the manager. “Wait until 2pm out in the street!”. They think they’re better than you and they will make sure you are aware too. Rednecks come in all races, colors and creeds.
I would not recommend this hotel and now that I am waiting in the hot sun out on the street at 1:15pm awaiting hotel entry I am filling up my time with the appropriate action with a thorough review.
Generally There is no motivation towards relationship building… a total disconnect.
My son is special needs and he is treated poorly by the staff. The rooms are extremely small and grey. I would recommend staying at a nicer more friendly place.
My overweight female friend was being treated poorly and now neither ever want to come here again.
LAST TIME FOR ME EVER!
I think that this location buys good reviews because frankly I do not see the value nor the quality here.
Btw you never see CHP stay here or even drive through what does that tell you? Do you think CHP has their back? I’m sure they treated CHP the same or similarly at some point in time as well?
Keep making friends bud, capitalism can dry up as fast as it can be rewarding in discrimination.
Warning They will repeatedly call your room and spy on you throughout your stay profiling you.
Do not expect any extra special treatment.
One nice thing is that it is quiet and not too many people stay here so there is...
Read moreMy recent stay at Oasis Inn Sacramento- Elk Grove was marred by an unfortunate encounter with the front desk staff a person named Rajeev/Sanjeev. I had rented a room for a friend's brother who was facing homelessness, and the situation took an unexpected turn on Sunday afternoon.
Around 3:45 pm on Sunday, I received a call from the front desk (Rajeev/Sanjeev), where an individual was aggressively stating that our guest, who was not on the list, had supposedly threatened his life. Despite my attempts to calm the situation over the phone, the staff member was uncooperative and insisted on a swift removal, giving us a mere 30 minutes to vacate the premises.
Upon arriving in person, I encountered Rajeev/Sanjeev, and the interaction was nothing short of disappointing. He callously dismissed our concerns with statements like "I don't care, not my problem," demonstrating a complete lack of empathy. Even after presenting a picture copy of the guest's ID, he remained unyielding, resorting to threats of involving security and prohibiting access to the room.
In a baffling turn of events, I communicated with Rajeev/Sanjeev in Hindi, hoping for a more human connection, but his responses were consistently dismissive and unprofessional.
The overall experience was exacerbated by Rajeev/Sanjeev's refusal to provide his name, despite being asked multiple times. The attitude displayed during this encounter was in stark contrast to the professionalism exhibited by the security personnel who eventually assisted in retrieving our belongings.
It is disheartening to recount an experience where a staff member not only failed to address concerns but also actively contributed to the distress of a challenging situation. I sincerely hope that the management takes note of these issues and implements measures to ensure a more compassionate and understanding approach for guests...
