Phở Ru Restaurant — Restaurant in Sacramento

Someone introduced me to this place and I went back. However, on my second visit, I noticed the table was not clean. I asked the waitress to wipe the table. She didn't seem to understand why I asked her to wipe the table again. So, when I was served with water, I wiped the table myself. And I realized that the dirty table was the residues that had been built up over time and just wouldn't come off by simply wiping the table. There was a table that left and I watched how they cleaned the table. They don't thoroughly wipe and that's why the residues are building up over time. So, I checked my utensils because I thought, "If this is how they are cleaning the tables, I'm not convinced that they are cleaning the utensils and other things thoroughly." Sure enough, the utensils had built up residues on it as well. I took a picture of the table, but I'm not sure if you can see the residues that I'm talking about. Other than my concern of the cleanliness, I think this place has a decent atmosphere with nice background music, and I think the food was okay. Unfortunately, cleanliness is one of my major concerns...

Anyways to the actual review, this place is nice and neat and good looking for the area it’s in. I like the fish 🐠 that they got on display and the customer service was pretty good. We got seated and the menus were nice as well and they actually have a pretty good sized selection. The prices aren’t that expensive and for price to taste it’s pretty good. I liked it. I really liked it with spicy sauce and feel like it tasted better. The broth was good and so were the noodles. I feel like the atmosphere is a tiny bit weird because it’s a bit darker but it’s cool.

In the picture that was kinda half eaten as I forgot to take a pic at the start (it looked better) and you can kinda see the lines on the edges of how much it was filled. Imagine more beef and more soup and less red.

Pho Ru offers a decent dining experience for those in the mood for some hearty Vietnamese food. The Phở here is moderate, not the absolute best I've had, but certainly satisfying. It's full of flavor, with the broth being the standout element. The service is standard, nothing exceptional but also nothing to complain about. The staff are polite and quite efficient. The location of the restaurant isn't particularly noteworthy, but it's comfortable enough for a casual meal. The big surprise was the large Phở order, which came with a free beef bone.
