BEST BUN BO HUE I HAD IN SACRAMENTO!! I grew up in Saigon and the taste of their Bun Bo Hue is the closest to the one I have growing up. I’ve tried so many places but this place has the most authentic taste. All the other places, I always have to ask for extra shrimp paste on the side but Saigon Kitchen express was just perfect! I asked for extra bean sprout and they gave me a huge plate. Their meat portion is generous and they use the right crunchy meat that Bun Bo Hue has too!
I also ordered 2 togo Banh Mi Thit Nuong (pork) and my kids love it! Can’t wait to come back and try more.
They’re a family business with father and son doing great as servers and receptionist.
The set up is cozy and welcoming. I love how they can accommodate big group/family.
They only open for lunch for now until Sep 1st and they’ll be open for dinner. They have Vietnamese egg noodle soup too! This place is such a gem I can’t wait...
Read moreMy mom and I finally came after weeks of seeing the "Grand Opening" banner. We're so glad we did and wish we came sooner! Saigon Kitchen Express offers delicious appetizers, bahn mi, soup, vermicelli bowls and rice plates at very reasonable prices. I hear their smoothies are also delicious - however we did not try them during this visit. My mom ordered the grilled pork vermicelli bowl($12.50) and I ordered the large spicy beef noodle soup ($15) (Check out the photos attached!) Both portions were ample and left us feeling very satisfied. We also shared a spring roll appetizer - nice and crispy. The staff here are very earnest and friendly. It's clear that they care a lot about this restaurant and want it to succeed. They offered great recommendations 👌 If you're in the area then please give Saigon Kitchen Express a try. We plan to return to try the...
Read moreFirst time trying. Found this place from driving by. We ordered the steak phó, oxtail phó, crab and shrimp spring rolls, egg rolls, thai tea, coconut smoothie and coconut juice. The drinks were good. The oxtails weren't as tender as I would've liked. The phó broth just wasn't there, compared to the other places. A little bland in my opinion. The crab and shrimp spring rolls were good, nothing extraordinary about them. The crispy egg rolls took forever to get to us..we were already done eating before they arrived. I think they forgot about them. The employees were friendly and accommodating nonetheless and the place was clean. The food didn't agree with our tummy's (if you know what I mean) so we won't be back but wish this...
