Quite large establishment and very open. Well kept and appears clean. Aesthetics were so-so. The young gal that took our order seemed quite inexperienced or lacked training. Aside from pouring a stream of hot tea onto the empty chair next to my guest and forgetting about my miso soup, she did an average job. When she brought over a miso soup for my guest, she struggled with the transfer from platter to table being unsure how to do it without burning herself. Not being able to figure it out, she decided to pinch the rim with just two fingers to lift it from the serving platter and put it on the table, trembling hand and all. I couldn’t help but chuckle a little. I saw her thumb gripping the inside of the bowl slightly dip into the soup. Not sure if it was her first day or what but I hope they help with better training so she doesn’t injure herself or guests. I ordered the tonkatsu donburi. It came out looking like a hot mess. Yeah sure, it was edible but it appeared slapped together. My guest’s order came out looking just fine. Nice presentation on his actually. There was big a delay in between delivering our orders. My guest received his order first and it took about another 10 minutes or so for my simple order to come out. We waited patiently for my order watching my guest’s food get cold. I felt bad and insisted he start eating before me. The bubble drinks seem to be popular here. I would give it 3 stars but I’m 30/70 on giving this place another try or recommending to...
Read moreVery impolite waiter. I asked the chefs if i could sit down and all of them were okay. I was waiting for a waiter or waitress to bring me the menu. The waiter (big guy), came over and asked if I wanted to oder food or just sit there for my tea. I told him I would like to order food. He told me I had to go back to the cashier and asked for the seat. The restaurant was empty. I was the only customer and I asked the Chefs if i could get the table in the first place already and all of the chefs were okay. The waiter wanted me to go to the cashier again then he would give me a menu. If it was a busy days or a few customers, I understand that I may confuse them. I was the only customer in the store at that moment. Train your employees again. I read on the other reviews, looks like that guy (male waiter) like to argue and correct customers. I left and will go to the next Japanese place near by. I am not a local. When you have only one customer in the store and she is ready to get the menu, don't tell her what she needs to do next time or leave her table. You want to take the order as soon as possible to get her money. You argue with her and tells her to leave her table, you just lose a customer. More than that, now you have 1...
Read moreI came here for the first time today with a friend. I am currently 6 months pregnant, when the server came to take our order I specifically asked for her to point out the fully cooked sushi rolls they had on the menu. I clearly advised I was pregnant and I couldn’t consume any raw foods/items. I ordered the Lion King, the Lion King is supposed to be completely baked. I asked to clarify there wouldn’t be any raw items on it, she assured me it would be fully cooked. When my roll came out there was full serving of raw masago on top, when I brought it to their attention they took it back, I noticed 1 sushi chef scraping the masago off just to return the same sushi back to me. I requested it to be remade completely over, the sushi chef was visibly upset as his voice got elevated and he was shaking his head mad he had to remake it. When I got my second order, the roll was partially raw, I didn’t notice until the last bite where there was a half raw salmon on the roll. My friend ordered a California roll without sesame seeds due to an allergy, the roll came out with sesame seeds. I will not be returning, and would not...
