After watching TikTok influencers The Taste Duo, my wife and I decided to give this place a try.  Greeted upon entry, we were informed that the only available seats were outside.  Our server brought waters within a minute of sitting.  Due to the possibility of rain coming soon, we were able to sit at the bar.  We ordered beers right away while journey through the menu.  For appetizer, we ordered Fresh Rolls (rice paper spring rolls) with shrimp, peanut sauce, and sweet & sour sauce.  My wife ordered the Chu Chee Salmon with mixed vegetables, and I decided on Pad Pak Ruam with mixed seafood.   After about 20 minutes, we were served with a delightful spring mix salad.  After another 15 minutes upon finishing our salad, the Fresh Rolls were served, but before getting a chance to enjoy our appetizers, our entrée’s were presented.  Before digging into our entrée’s, we had a couple Fresh Rolls which were pretty tasteful, but overpriced for it just being 1 diced up spring roll that barely had shrimp in it.  My wife’s salmon was a little overcooked and dry on the outside as if sat under the warming lamp, but the taste was exceptional.  My Pad Pak Ruam was a delicious stir-fry that had 3 muscles, scallops, shrimp, broccoli, baby corn, cabbage, and carrots.  The staff gathered around the kitchen entrance when they weren’t providing service which was right next to us at the end of the bar.  Our original server never checked on us, which was crazy because the entire staff was hanging out literally right next to us.  My wife and I decided to have another beer near finishing our food.  Our empty plates sat in front of us until we finished our beers, while the staff chatted amongst each other, again, right next to us.  Our bill was $111.47 w/ tax not including tip.  For the price and taste, it was just okay for me, not sure I would be excited to rave on their food, but I think the biggest downfall that would persuade me from returning would be the service that we received.  Don’t get me wrong, they were never rude, but not being provided the service of making our dining experience a comfortable one, just wasn’t as good as other establishments.  We were never even thanked for coming in as we exited.

Friday, 2/25/2022 - Went to "T.H.A.I. - The House Of Authentic Ingredients" restaurant for dinner with friends. It's located on H Street in midtown Sacramento right at a corner. You can't miss it. At least i didn't. ;) Luckily, there was an open spot right next to the restaurant that I was able to park in. Yay!! Upon arrival (in the dark): Pros: 1) cute restaurant. Nice atmosphere. 2) we made reservations so didn't have to wait long to get seated inside. 3) waiter came and took our drink orders right away. He was very nice and talkative. 4) our drinks came out and he gave us time to look over the menu. Drinks were good. The Coconut Empire drink was very good. 5) we order a few dishes and appetizers. Took some time to receive it. But once the food came out, presentation was nice. 6) it was a nice restaurant, not too loud, we were able to hear each other and catch up. 7) restaurant was clean. Utensils, cups, napkins, plates were all clean. 8) there are 2 bathrooms. One stall in each. It's for male/female. The one I went to was a little dirty. 9) bit pricey for dinner. But there are other dishes you can order. 10) didn't have to pay to park. Yes!!!! 11) I asked our waiter to see if he'll take a photo of us and he kindly did. Very nice. 12) we asked for to-go boxes and we got it. Cons: 1) our waiter didn't really check on us. But he was nice. 2) salad was very salty. Calmari was over cooked. Salmon wasn't flavorful at all. But if you slather it with the orange-yellowish sauce, it tasted better. Chicken in tom yum soup was on the chewy side. 3) bathroom was a little dirty. 4) it's on the pricier side. Conclusion: I like this restaurant. It was small and cute. Easy to hear one another. Servers were all nice and accommodating. Parking wasn't bad. They have seating outside but I don't recall seeing any heaters outside to keep the patrons there warm. Foods were on the pricier side for dinner. Some of the dishes we got weren't that good, but presentation was pretty. Try this place if you haven't yet.

Our recent anniversary dinner at THAI - The House of Authentic Ingredients in Sacramento was a delightful experience, especially for us vegetarians who love Thai cuisine. Ambiance: 4/5 The restaurant boasts a warm and cozy charm. It features a bar area, adding to the overall vibe. They also have patio dining, which we didn’t opt for due to the cold weather. Inside, the space felt a bit cramped as the tables were quite close to each other, but this is a minor point when weighed against the delicious food and awesome service. Service: 4/5 The service was commendable, particularly our server Connor, who was friendly and responsive. The initial oversight with eggs in our vegetarian order was quickly rectified. While there isn’t a separate kids’ menu, the staff was accommodating in adjusting the spice levels to suit the kids’ preferences. Food: 4/5 • Pad Thai (For Kids): Tasty and kid-friendly. • Green Curry: aromatic and flavorful, this dish was a delight. • Pineapple Fried Rice: a delightful sweet-savory balance. • Pad Kee Mao: The highlight of our meal, perfectly spiced and packed with fresh veggies and tofu. We ordered our dishes at a 5/10 spice level but plan to try a spicier version next time. The portion sizes were generous, providing great value for the price. Parking: They have separate free parking available across the street, which was quite convenient. Overall, THAI - The House of Authentic Ingredients is a great spot for authentic Thai cuisine. We definitely plan to revisit, perhaps trying the outdoor patio when the weather is warmer.

I wanted to like this place but the customer service was lacking and sort of strange & disorganized. They didn’t ask whether we wanted outdoor or indoor seating & when we asked for outdoor seating, they were reluctant to seat us, although they had 3 open tables outside. Our waitress ended up saying yes and asked where we would like to sit, giving us an option to choose, & then told us it was reserved. She offered a corner outdoors but never reseated us. Less than 4 minutes later, a different waitress came with plates and utensils, quickly took our orders for drinks, and apparently they disregarded our request to be seated outdoor. We decided it’s okay, they seem busy, and accepted our indoor seating arrangement. A few mins later, a different waiter came to us and asked whether we would like any drinks - we told him someone already took our order, but at this point my family and I were super confused about what was going on since we had 3 different waiter come to us in a short amount of time. When it came to ordering food, we asked for the Thai Table which was not offered on their menu but advertised online. They gave us a new menu that had the Thai Table but then told us it’s a lot of food and usually suited for 4-6 people. Given that we came for the experience, we went ahead and ordered it, but thought it was strange to receive unsolicited advice about something we asked for? The food itself offered flavor, but I would not order the Pad Thai. I’m not accustomed to the sweet flavor in their Pad Thai. The egg rolls and papaya were good, however the papaya is designed for people who may have never had papaya salad before. The rice was over cooked and burnt, some pieces were hard. We enjoyed some of the food options on the Thai Table, but think it was overpriced for what it is and the meat was dry. The table was wobbly and the chairs were unclean from the guests prior. Overall it was overpriced, customer service is not so great, and I would only come back for friends and family who wants to try it for the first time. There are many Thai restaurants in Sacramento that offers better prices and better food quality. We were there for more than an hour and the “reserved tables” outside had no customers and were completely empty during and after our meal. I think they require a better way to track their reservations and accommodate customers. Did not leave with a good impression...

Fun experience. Neat and spacious restaurant +cute outdoors setting. Love the high ceilings. The food was yummy. We got the volcano platter.

I numbered the items on the platter since I can't remember the name (sorry). Fried rice- has a little kick if you're not into spice. The shrimp was memorable. I would order an entree. Ribs - fall of the bone, sweet and salty. Soft, juicy, and delicious. Would order as an entree. Potato samosa- an interesting addition to the platter, it tasted a little plain and heavy. I think this is sliced pork larb. - good flavor, not too intense meat, wasn't dry. Not sure what this was. I think it was a fried veggies (spinach?) cake/dumpling. It wasn't bad, very interesting, a bit chewy. Would probably try again as an appetizer. White rice - interesting addition. I would've liked another type of rice for the platter. Stir fry chicken wings - so. Good. Tbh. Loved the flavor. It's sticky and sweet, salty and full of umami. I enjoyed the cashews and onion slices, too. Very saucy - mix it with the white rice. 👌 Corn salad - interesting flavor, also. It's like a light thai style papaya salad with corn instead. Crunchies! I have no idea what these were called, but I think it's tom yummy flavored pork skin. So crispy, thin, and soft to bite through. It's a nice, crispy texture to add to any food. 10/11. Calamari and peanut noodles - Calamari was meh. And the noodles were also very meh. I find myself wishing for padthai instead. The batter for calamari was a nice and easy coat. The calamari has a hint of toughness as you chew through, and the noodles were overall soft. I didn't really care for either of these. The peanut noodles even more.

Salad- The vinegarette is really intense, but I did really enjoy the flavor. Maybe if it has less vinegarette and just a light splash. It was really wat. You can't tell from the photo.

Overall, nice experience. Would definitely want to come back to try the other dishes. I'd love to try the more common thai dishes - curries, stir frys, noodles. I can't make a judgment if it's worth $155, maybe it is with the...
