First Choice Food & Deli — Restaurant in Safety Harbor

Someone said it was the best Cuban in the Tampa Bay Area and I have to agree! I was here yesterday with my twins and the owners were very sweet and accommodating. Only took 10 mins to make 2 large Cubans and I ordered chicken tenders with fries for the kids and oh my gosh!! We had been walking all day at different trails and parks nearby and we were at our last park Mullet Creek Park and it was only a 4 min walk from there to here and it was sooo worth it, we were starving and dehydrated. The chicken was so fresh and tender, succulent and the fries were so seasoned and full of flavor. I don’t know what they put on the fries but my kids devoured the chicken and fries, I tried some too and— mind blown!! You get a large Cuban sandwich with a can of soda for only $6, which is a steal for how good it is! They also sell Baklava and I regret not getting it now because it looked delicious, next time forsure. Besides the deli, the mart itself has lots of options, got a fountain drink and maybe it was because I was so thirsty but it quenched my tastebuds to its core!! Lots of great snacks, even Japanese snacks. Such a great little spot, definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the area at one of the parks nearby, just walking to it was fun too! Best darned Cubans in the Bay Area. I'm constantly impressed and surprised at the amazing food that First Choice has, and the ability of them to make the best darned sandwich you will ever have. Wife's be warned, when you want a sammy, they jump into the kitchen to make you one. Ask for the Wukits if you swing by, it's the best rootin' n' tootin' meal your senses will experience. My taste buds are still tingly from having it this morning. Heck, I would not be surprised if they popped off to have a smoke after being that satiated. Don't ever forget to ask for their hashbrown as a palate cleanser. It's made with the perfect texture of golden crispy outside and soft savory interior!

If you pay with cash, don't forget to toss a Quarter or two into the Children cancer fund. If you don't see it, just ask.

First Time Customer I ordered a BLT with extra bacon.. Definitely NO EXTRA bacon when i got it. I took one piece of bread off folded the other in hopes it would be better. Mostly I ate a bread sandwich.. Fries were good though. Shame i work right down on main street and order lunch daily. Don't think this is the place I'll order my lunch from.
