Thai Spice Clearwater — Restaurant in Safety Harbor

DO NOT EAT HERE! My husband just picked up food for our family here … and while we use to love this place years back, new owners have definitely ruined its entire existence! Chicken in two entrees severely over cooked and tasted like rubber… lacked any flavor whatsoever… entire order of spring rolls completely inedible and BURNED! Certainly they knew this upon packaging in Togo container, as every single one burnt and hard as a ROCK! Finally saving best for last … what seemed like A GLASS SUBSTANCE was found in my food after I almost chipped a tooth and swallowed it!!!! After calling them immediately to bring to THIER attention… I was flabbergasted with the owners brother (assuming that’s who I spoke to) since he wouldn’t say… no sorry no nothing from him… instead I was asked what I wanted him to do??? Seriously? No refund … just a “credit” if we ever come back! Sorry… but eating glass and burnt food isn’t our thing! Sounds like county health inspectors need contacted asap! Like all the other one star reviews… I’ll await the “owners” ...

Ok first off... I love this place, love the food, love the people. I come here twice a week for lunch. So writing this review is not easy, and hopefully they will read this and make some changes.... first the bugs...if you sit in the front window area you will have fleas and other kinds of fly's buzzing around you and your food....second the bugs... on the floor the last thing I want to see when eating is a dieing roach on the floor kicking and spinning around. Now I realize that yes we live in Florida so get use to the roaches .... well no that doesn't work for me there are plenty of other restaurants at don't have this problem or if they do I don't have a front row seat to watching them die... third.. get some hair nets please, this has happened more than five times now. We will eat and get to the end of our meals and find a hair.

These are minor problems and with some good house cleaning and getting a good pest control company I'm sure that this wouldn't...

Not going to lie, was a little nervous when we walked in because there was kind of a strange smell and it was empty. Figured out it was probably the candle at the front mixed with thai food smell. We went for lunch which came with a very small salad (I didn't eat but everyone else thought it was good), soup which was delicious, and a small spring roll. There were a lot of us there and we all ordered a range of things. Everyone was very happy with their food. Our meal ended with these awesome sugar covered tortilla chips.

The lunch portions are pretty small I will say, but to be quite honest it probably is the perfect size if you aren't looking to have leftovers. I left feeling comfortably full. The prices were also reasonable.

I would definitely come back to this place. This one was actually our third choice but multiple people said they preferred it over our first choice. I'm glad...
