Ive been to Poblano's many times before. I have always had a top experience here from the quality of food and drinks to the service, HOWEVER, today of all days was the worst experience I have ever had at this restaurant. Today was probably one of their biggest holidays however, they crunched down their drink and food menu for cinco de mayo which makes absolutely zero sense. I am a vegan and I always order their cauliflower tacos and the table guac. Today I was informed that neither of these was being served and I was not going to be able to get these no matter the cost. The server was not interested in asking if this could be arranged, we just received a "no". Not only did they limit their menu but their drinks were the worst I have ever had. I started off with a standard margarita and was not happy so I ordered the "top shelf" margarita since also the drink menu was extremely limited and they were not doing any of their normal drinks. Once I received this, it tasted just the same as the first. LIKE STRAIGHT SOUR MIX. Jose Cuervo was their only top shelf margarita and it was by far one of the worst margaritas I have ever had. I still tipped my server and left. Normally we would order top shelf margaritas which come in beautiful margarita glasses, receive our guac made at our table, and a full menu option however today of all days they decided they couldn't accommodate any of these requests. We always tip 30%+ to accommodate these requests on normal days but to say im disappointed is being nice. This was not a good experience hence my review. Do better Poblanos. Locals look forward to your food and on Cinco De Mayo of all days, you have disappointed so many by your poor business choices. So...

Beans were runny and soupy, couldn't even pick them up with my fork. Food was barely warm so I asked for it to be warmed up some. My plate came back hot but the lettuce and sour cream and guac was also heated up so the lettuce was wilted and diced tomatoes and sour cream were hot like the entire plate was warmed up. The salsa tasted like a glorified tomato sauce and the chips tasted like they were leftover from the previous night. Waitress was kind and service was acceptable but she acted like a deer in the headlights as though she had no idea how to respond to a customer complaint. I even moved my full plate of food aside so she'd hopefully see there was an issue and maybe offer to do something to go or get her manager. She never came back to the table until my boyfriend finished his meal. When I asked the server if the beans were supposed to look soupy, she said "yeah I dont think they're supposed to be like that." But she did nothing to rectify the problem or get a manager. If she knew there was a problem with the food, then why the heck would you even bring it out for me to eat and pay for. I hate being a bother or complaining and this is my first poor Google review (usually my experiences going out to eat have been stellar) but my experience at this restaurant really just wasn't enough to make me want to come back. It's really hard to disappoint me with Mexican food because I love it so much but this place managed to accomplish it. Blah, I dont recommend this place at all. It's such a shame too because I was so excited to see a Mexican restaurant that offered low carb tortillas with many of their meals. If you want Mexican, I really wouldn't waste your time or...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic restaurant, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The ambiance was warm and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a memorable meal. The menu offered a delightful variety of dishes that catered to all tastes and preferences, each one expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. However, what truly set this restaurant apart was the exceptional service provided by the amazing servers. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality. Our server Paula was attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was nothing short of perfect. She offered excellent recommendations, accommodated our requests with a smile, and made us feel like valued guests throughout the entire meal. I was truly impressed by her professionalism and dedication. Paula clearly take pride in her work and strive to provide top-notch service to every patron. Her attention to detail and genuine care for the customers truly enhanced the overall dining experience and left a lasting impression. Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. The delicious food, inviting atmosphere, and exceptional service provided by the amazing servers make it a must-visit for anyone looking for a truly memorable dining experience. I will definitely be returning soon, eager to once again enjoy the outstanding hospitality and delicious cuisine that this restaurant...

Good and not so good. Thursday night around 8pm, very few patrons in the restaurant. They seated us next to the kitchen area, funky smell (not a food smell). Last time we ate here it was to-go and horrible. Tried again but decided to eat there to see the difference. Free chips and salsa. Waiter asked if we wanted guacamole or queso. We ordered the guacamole, not thinking to check the price in the menu first (my mistake). The guacamole dip is a very small portion for almost $5. It was tasty but over priced. Friend ordered a chicken bowl. It was filled with chicken, peppers, onions. No lettuce, not a salad type bowl, which was fine. I ordered a steak and veggie chimichangas, came with refried beans and lettuce/tomato/sour cream side. The chimis had a thin cheese sauce on them. They tasted ok, but I had to dig to find the meat. There were the smallest pieces hidden within the wrap. (See photo). This is the 2nd time I've ordered chimichangas here and both times they were disappointing. I won't try them again. The bowl was good and maybe that it there speciality. Chips and free salsa were good. Huge glasses of water was a plus. I'm torn on this restaurant, will try them again in 6 months if they are still open.

Came to Poblanos for my first time this past weekend. Everyone said good things about this place so I decided to try it. It’s a super cute place. It had a very traditional theme and I really liked the overall atmosphere. We were seated and ordered our drinks very quickly. The server was fast and checked on us plenty. I got the traditional house margarita and it was very good. The menu is pretty big and everything sounded so good. I decided to go with the trio meal. You can choose 3 main items from a list of a bunch. It also comes with two sides. I ordered a beef taco, chicken tostada, and cheese quesadilla with a side of rice and black beans. The portion sizes are big and they put a lot of protein in/on whatever you decide. It was all really good ! I ate some of my friends stuffed pepper- highly recommend ! I wish I would of got it. I will definitely come back here because the food was not greasy, it didn’t hurt my stomach, and I didn’t feel super heavy afterwards (typically you do after Mexican food).

My husband and I visited here based on a million or so upvotes from the Nextdoor app. We were prepared to LOVE it. So, so, so disappointed. I don't even know where to start. Here goes: The Bad 1. Too sweet yet strangely bland sangria. I couldn't even finish it. That is some kind of personal record. Never have I ever not finished a drink. Never. NEVER. 2. Sweet cheap-mix-tasting margarita. 3. Salsa that tasted like a can of diced tomatoes. 4. Had to pay extra for salsa that was extremely spicy. Mixed the two salsas together, not bad. 5. Bland barbacoa enchilada (barbacoa taco was the same blandness). 6. Dry flavorless chicken enchilada. 7. Weirdly sweet cheese enchilada. 8. Weirdly bland and tomato-ey enchilada sauce. The Good 1. Very nice and helpful server (didn't get her name, sorry to say). 2. The drinks were on happy hour, so I only paid $4 for undrinkable sangria and $3 for frosty beer. Two stars is a little generous, but I save 1 star for horrifying.
