Shipley Do-Nuts — Restaurant in Saginaw

I was waiting for this location to open as Shipley donuts are much better than basic donut stores. I don’t agree they should be given a bad review on miscommunication or if you don’t feel customer service was up to your standards because this location just opened and are still working on things. So I ignored the other negative review. For my visit I was helped right away. Any questions I had they more than happily answered for me. Yes there was some miscommunication between me and the person helping me, but they do have more traffic coming in and out and the drive thru which make it louder inside. Other than that they try to make sure to take care of you with no issues. Pricing seemed fair to me as you are getting a better donut in my opinion. Once I was able to get home to eat I was not let down. The donuts were so much better than what I have found in this area. The dough was soft and seemed fresh compared to other stores dried out donuts that seems a day old. I was very happy with my visit and look forward to coming back...

I went to get some doughnuts one morning, but I guess I got there way too early (about 10-15 minutes earlier than their scheduled opening). They still opened the door for me though, which was really kind of them to do, as it was cold outside that morning.

I ordered a dozen doughnuts but the staff (who were super polite and super kind) told me that I had to wait for awhile since they weren't done making them. I patiently waited and sat down. (My fault for coming too early anyway)

The Managers (or... Owners? Not sure which one, but it doesn't really matter. What matters is that they were extremely nice) gave me some doughnut holes and some coffee while I waited! 😁

After that day, I have become a frequent customer and every time I go there... They've always been consistent with their awesome customer service. Went in after work as I go into work before they open. Very excited for a new donut shop. When arriving a very nice customer let me ahead as she was still deciding. Waiting approximately 10 min while the lady behind the counter talked on her phone. No greating or I'll he right with you, just awkward if someone was going to take my order. After waiting I placed my order the total seemed incorrect. I questioned it but there was a communication issue. Unsure how to handle it I paid the total (line was growing) I asked if the old fashion cinnamon rolls came with cream cheese icing or frosting? Seeming really confused I asked again. The lady kept pointing at the glazed donuts.
