I stopped at The Village Garden this afternoon as it has been awhile and the weather was awesome. I went to the Kusina Colorado truck to order some of their delicious tacos but decided to change things up and try something different. I decided on their burrito smothered with green chili and also ordered a lumpia. I told the lady at the window that I like spicy food and she suggested that I get the burrito with their homemade Adobo pork. She also asked me how spicy I wanted the burrito and I asked her to make it as spicy as possible.
When I brought my food to the table I was blown away...the burrito was huge and stuffed full of pork. They added spicy peppers to the green chili along with a homemade hot sauce to the Adobo pork. The heat was perfect. 🔥 I couldn't make it through half of the burrito as I was beyond full and there's more than enough leftovers for tomorrow's lunch. The lumpia was also much larger than the ones I have tried in the past and was delicious as well. The shell was fried crisp and the sweetness of the cabbage contrasted well with the sweet and spicy dipping sauce.
Kusina Colorado is one of my favorite food trucks. I have never had a bad meal there and the owners are extremely friendly. I really need to start visiting the...
Read moreIt's really sad for me to have to leave this review because the food is absolutely delicious. But the attitude of the owner is completely unacceptable. Every time we go(which is quite often because it's a fast easy delicious option close to home) we are greeted with a nasty attitude and scowl as if we are intruders in her home. Everybody has bad days and I don't expect perfection by any means. But when it gets to the point where on our last few orders I've called them in for fear that she'll do something to our food, it becomes a problem. If you don't like people to that extent, you're probably in the wrong business. At this point my business has been lost(easily $300/mo) as a result of the way we feel every time we come here. It's just not worth how good the food is, especially in an area that has so many fantastic options where the owner(s)/employees actually make you feel like they appreciate the fact that you are spending money at their...
Read moreSUPERB! My taste buds thank me for visiting Kusina Colorado. I had to check it out after seeing great reviews online, and I was not disappointed. I am a decent cook myself and I have Thai, Greek, and Ukrainian ethnicity in my family, so I am pretty particular when I get food out-and-about. Mediocre food doesn't impress me. I enjoyed this meal (it was actually three meals, and for most normal humans it would be six). I ordered pancit topped with pork belly sisig and a lumpia roll, a smothered burrito with their amazing green chili stew, and green chili cheese fries. I am not very familiar with Filipino food nor do I know "Colorado-style"...but I was very pleased to be introduced to it. I strongly urge you to get over to Village Garden and visit Kusina Colorado. DRIVE FAST (obeying speed limits of course, and slow way down in school zones), but otherwise get over there and try their culinary creations. Your taste buds...
