***Edit…Please read full review…My family went to eat at the here the previous night. The food was excellent. They ordered chicken Marsala for me to take home (I could not attend dinner). The portions were great, 2 pieces of chicken, a good amount of angel hair pasta, some mushrooms. I liked it so much I ordered the same meal with extra mushrooms for delivery tonight. I was shocked when I received the delivery and found the portion was the size a child would eat. 1 small piece of chicken, a small portion of angel hair pasta and it did have the extra mushrooms I ordered. I called the manager who spoke with the owner…he stated to my shock, that the portion was correct. No apology, no explanation, no offer for a larger portion with my next meal… This is NOT the way you treat loyal customers returning especially when they order the same exact meal two nights in a row and are calling about a potion difference. The dinner cost 31.00 total (with a cannoli which was very good). It is such a shame that this occurred because the food was amazing. Update…So we ordered dinner for delivery on 4/21/2023 (Chicken Marsala, Meatball Sub or Hero, Kids Ravioli, cannoli with chocolate chips. This is about the 5th time we have had food from here. It was the BEST Meatball Sub I have ever had in St. Augustine. The Chicken Marsala tasted wonderful; as did the ravioli and the Cannoli. With that said, the portion for the Chicken Marsala was again very small. The sizes for the chicken portion they have given my family for each different Chicken Marsala dinner have varied greatly. Two occasions, I get two larger pieces of chicken three occasions one small piece. For a pretty expensive dinner (25.00 for the Marsala this evening), I expect to be full when I am finished…I hope they fix this inconsistency because their food is awesome! Edit***So, Rachel the manager got in touch with me and it is obvious she and everyone working here really pay attention and care! She looks at some pictures I had taken and absolutely did the right thing! I am a very loyal customer and do enjoy their food a great deal! Thank you Rachel and the rest of the staff at Amici’s! You are appreciated!

Update: Another great meal! Antipasto Platter perfect selection and flavors. We've wanted to eat here for a long time and finally decided to go for our date night dinner. Very happy we did! Food was outstanding and the service was excellent. Love the tablet menus. Ordering was simple and fun. Decor inside is a tad dated and could use a little refreshing, but overall pleasant enough. Plenty of parking in the shopping center lot outside. They started us with warm bread and an excellent garlic clove infused olive oil for dipping. Delicious. I had to try the signature Celery Datil soup which was a unique combination of tasty and pleasantly spicy. Not something I would have put together myself but very good. The Chicken Francese was the perfect balance of citrus and butter. The chicken so tender I could have cut it with my finger (then licked my finger after). I haven't had this dish so good since I left Brooklyn many years ago and I will return just to have it again. My wife loved her Wahoo Crab Cannelloni. The desserts sounded amazing as well, and they also offer pizzas I will have to try in the future. Overall, very happy we finally made it and definitely looking forward to our next meal here. Pro tip: You can substitute pasta with zucchini noodles for any dish!

I took my son here for lunch one Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was fairly empty so seating was in the bar area. There were two servers and one person who looked like a manager. Our server was great. She was prompt and refilled our drinks quickly. The manager on the other hand was a different story. He totally skipped checking in on us or the other patrons and spent the entire time talking with a group of four people who walked in and just sat down. You could tell this was a friendly conversation, but his unwillingness to assist the others as things got busy was disturbing. In addition, when I asked the waitress if one of the TV's could be changed to a ballgame that was on, she went to the manager who completely ignored her attempts for his attention. This manager went as far as personally serving this group of 4 while ignoring the rest of us in the dining area In regards to the food, it was good. My son enjoyed his pizza. The spaghetti sauce was somewhat bland and while it didn't have an out of the can taste, it was not seasoned. Overall I will consider giving it a second try but it will not be a place I immediately gravitate to if I want Italian.

We were with a group of about 18 people registered in the restaurant Amici. Our wish was to be able to sit outside, because one person in our group wanted to take his dog with him and this is only possible outside in the USA. It had rained briefly 1 hour ago, then it was a wonderful, beautiful summer evening. Despite some discussions with the unfriendly and arrogant „manager“ of the restaurant, it was not possible to occupy our table outside, but we had to eat inside. Mercifully, this was then offered to us, but could not be changed since. It was pointed out that two waiters / waitresses must be put down for our table and that is outside now no longer possible. We start at about 19:00 clock he still noted that the restaurant is only open until 22:00. We got then all iPads with the menus handed and could then order our drinks circa 19:15 clock The first arrived around 19:30. Some dry bread with olive oil was served. This was quickly gone, a reorder took about 45 minutes. Then appetizers could be ordered, 20 minutes later, then the main courses. Again, it should be noted that only then were paper cards / menues laid out showing the varieties of pizza to be ordered. Also on this sheet was noted that could not be ensured whether the pizza at the same time with the other food can be delivered because they are delivered from another "kitchen". We then order our meal - main course . After about half an hour, the first main dishes came to the table. I was first put the wrong dish at my place. One of our group then had his pizza although other pizzas had been delivered before - only when we were all finished eating. In the meantime, orders for beer, sparkling water, additional delivery of tap water tap water worked only through arbitrary help and fetching on our part and penetrant inquiries. One person, our group - a helpful guest, who helped the waitresses to bring drinks, was expelled after the meal by the "manager" of the restaurant. Praising should be mentioned - for this, however, the restaurant can not do anything - the wine I ordered was excellent. The dishes were all right and tasted good. The extremely miserable service (although very polite waitresses, honestly endeavored, however unfortunately nevertheless incompetently), that impudent and absolutely not customer-oriented and boorish behavior of the "manager" is however the reason for this nevertheless bad evaluation. Therefore: I (and none of our group) will definitely never visit this restaurant again and would first of all recommend to replace the management, maybe then you can go there again. Otherwise, there are enough other restaurants in...

I have to say that we used to love this restaurant, our daughter even had her wedding reception there. But it feels like something has changed. Food was great, hostess was great. There was a 45 minute wait but we had a party of 9, so it's understandable. We were seated in a part of the restaurant that didn't have a lot of customers at the time. Once seated, we waited a substantial amount of time until the server showed up to take drink orders. Drinks were left empty for a long time and our server was not very present, it was trivia night in the front part of the restaurant, so that might have played a part, The menus are now tablets, so I'm glad to see that they have invested in the experience, but this is aimed only at the adults, with no typical kid menus to pass the time. (That I know of). Since there was a long wait, the kids were left twiddling their thumbs. The 3" tiles on the tables were falling off in 2 different places. The part that bothered me the most, on principal, was that when we asked if there would be bread, the server explained that there was one complimentary round of bread with 2 slices per person. I don't really care about having a lot of bread but it just seemed weird and a cheap thing to say. This became a joke around the table for awhile and I hate to say that it will be the impression that sticks with me.

Auto gratuity was put on the check, which I don't agree with but I understand it's because some people think it's ok not to tip servers, especially in big groups. But it left me having to calculate how much they gave the server and I left a little more. Just made me feel uncomfortable and cheap(it's just something that bothers me)

Food really is good, just wish the other things didn't...
