This review is based solely on my experience and my personal opinion.
I was there on Saturday 8/14/21 and this was my very first time at Grandma's Cookies and here is what I think....
FOOD: I bought a bunch of different cookies just to try all the flavors. The Flavors are there, mild and balanced. Clearly they do NOT use any artificial flavors, colorants or any flavor enhancer just like many other pastry shops do. They do really taste like the Cookies that my Grandma and my Mom make. they taste homemade and handmade. What I loved the most is that the cookies are NOT loaded with sugar just like ANY other pastry shop does. my favorite was the COCONUT COOKIE, I genuinely loved it. The double chocolate cookie had melting chocolate inside, so cool and good. The only Cookie that obviously has more sugar, and you can taste it, is the SNICKERDOODLE. Other than that, ALL the other cookies have very little sugar, amazing! They have a variety of drinks available and beverages but I did not try any of that, so cant really talk about it.
STAFF: a young boy and a young girl are there..... the boy is the cashier and the girl is the server, she tried to give me the smallest cookies of the bunch, but once I pointed that out, she just went ahead and swap them for bigger ones. other than that she was nice. they could use a little bit of a smile and they could be more welcoming.
PLACE: very small place, it is just a grab and go kind a shop. they do not have a sitting area where you can enjoy your cookies or the drinks you buy. But obviously that's just how it is, no comments. At the very entrance, where you start the line, the room is tiny and to sort of create a path for the people in line they just placed a table in the middle of the room with random boxes of cookies that you can buy.... while in line you just walk around the table.
CLEANLINESS: the place seems fairly clean, a bit messy but clean.
PRICE: the Cookies are big, good and cheap! ALL of the cookies are $0.79 . 79 Cents for a good big cookie is not alot.
CONCLUSION: next Sunday I'm going there again to pick up more...

Read moreWe were really looking forward to trying this place, but honestly were disappointed. When you walk in, there are signs explaining the process of getting bags or boxes for your cookies, but the signs have too many words so there is no time to read it all if there is a line behind you— and it's a very small space. So realizing we'd need something to put our cookies in, I chose a box that said it would hold 6 cookies. While in line, we decided what kinds of cookies we wanted, but when we reached the counter we were told 2 of the cookies we wanted were "specialty" cookies which couldn't go in the box we chose. (They cost more per cookie). This was probably explained on those signs that we didn't have time to read. Since there were people waiting behind us, we quickly just made a different selection and didn't get the cookies we really wanted. It was very disappointing. The workers made no attempt to explain how we could get the specialty cookies at this point— the bags and boxes were in the other room so we couldn't just go grab the correct type. Honestly, they should keep little bags right there to put those specialty cookies in; I'm sure others have run into this situation before. We would have bought our box of 6 PLUS a couple specialty cookies if they had done that! In addition to the whole disorganized and confusing process of getting cookies, we also did not like them. They are very thick and soft, and texture-wise seem more like a brownie than a cookie— I suppose this is considered a "gourmet" cookie (much like Crumbl, which I don't like either). I prefer a cookie with slightly crispy edges and a...
