A Hidden Gem with Exceptional Food and Atmosphere Napoli Sea is an absolute standout—perfect for any occasion, whether it’s a special celebration or an intimate dinner. The ambience strikes the ideal balance between upscale elegance and welcoming charm, creating a setting that feels both relaxing and refined. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. Every dish we tried was a burst of flavor and creativity. The sea bass was cooked to perfection, flaky and rich with just the right seasoning. The filet was melt-in-your-mouth tender and deeply satisfying. We started with the West Coast Oysters, then the charred octopus, calamari hors d’oeuvres, and all were decadent—perfectly tender and bursting with smoky, savory notes that set the tone for the rest of the meal. The cocktails deserve special mention. The lavender lemon drop martinis were refreshingly sweet with a delicate floral twist. And the maple bacon old fashioned was a masterpiece—not only deliciously bold and well-balanced, but also served with a creative, decorative ice cube shaped like an old underwater scuba mask. Such a fun, thoughtful detail that added to the overall experience. Napoli Sea is truly a culinary and visual delight. We’ll definitely be back when we get a chance to get back into town. Definitely recommend this place!

We have been to Napoli 3 several times and have enjoyed it every time. For our anniversary this year, we decided to try Napoli Sea. We liked the ambiance, a "nautical feel". We also enjoyed our server. The food, however, was hit and miss. We ordered the east coast oysters and found them to be excellent, best oysters we have had in the STL area. I had the Halibut with lemon butter sauce and found it to be well cooked and delicious. The Caesar salad was nice as well. My wife ate the mussels as an entree. Neither of us cared for the "Dijon saffron broth" and found it too thick - and the flavor was just off. The worst aspect of the meal was the chocolate cake. It had an icing on the top that was so salty that even 4 hours after the meal, my tongue is still offended. I completely understand and appreciate adding some salt to a sweet item and usually find it pleasant, but this was beyond acceptable, especially considering the piece of cake was $20. All in all, I would try the place again, but would avoid the mussels and dessert. The oysters were excellent.

1. I placed an online order for items they no longer sell because the site isn't updated. 2. They called to tell me but did not let me know that for whatever reason they have to run my card again instead of refunding that item. 3. The fried oysters tasted like pure vegetable oil. 4. The ceaser "salad" is an actual 5 pieces of lettuce. 5. Napoli 3 has better, space, service and menu. 6. I'm sure he's new but, the manager was immediately combative and rude when I spoke to him about my experience. Since Sea's menu can be purchased at 3 I'll continue to go there instead. That was an utter disappointment now I have to order dinner AGAIN but at Napoli 3.

I've been trying to decide how I want to write this review and be honest without being overly critical. It was our 30th Anniversary and we mentioned this in our reservation. We decided to try this restaurant instead of the restaurant that we usually go to for our anniversary. Both are similarly priced. We spent approximately $300 for 2 of us. Our table was running behind, so we had a drink in the bar while we waited. From there, I was able to take in how eclectic the decorating was. I really liked it until we were sat in the loft area. If you are in the first row and overlook the lower restaurant, it would be nice. We were sat in the corner of the back row. It felt claustrophobic, warm, and cramped. For an appetizer we had ceviche. It was wonderful. For dinner, we had a bottle of wine from a large selection on the menu. My husband had the halibut. With this, you get to pick one of 4 sauces, potatoes, and a vegetable. I had the risotto with shrimp, clams, and crabs. They bring it to your table and warm it in a parmesan bowl. I absolutely loved my dinner. While my husband enjoyed his, he felt that he did not have nearly as much food as I did for the same price. Based on that, he would not get the fish again. We finished with desert - macaroons. They were good but not fantastic. We both really felt like this was an upscale restaurant but priced like fine dining. The service was the same as any other restaurant; it wasn't special. For $150 per person, I felt like I should get exceptional service, at least a mention of our anniversary, and a decent seat. Would I come back here again? Yes, but I would sit in the bar, get 1-2 apps, and share...

My girlfriend and I had a girls night out to celebrate our friendship.

Our waiter, Hayden, was super nice and informative.

We started off with 20 oysters and ended up ordering 10 more. Pretty good considering we don’t live near the ocean.

We ordered the pistachio martinis as our first cocktail. I do not recommend doing so. They are definitely a dessert drink. As a former bartender I wouldn’t recommend this drink. The creme de menthe is overpowering. We didn’t drink them. We ended up ordering a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc which was very tasty and the pours are generous.

For the main course she ordered the Alaskan halibut with the grilled asparagus and au gratin potatoes. It was SO GOOD. Extremely flavorful.

I ordered the lobster roll and lobster Mac and cheese. The lobster roll was very good. The bread was toasted to perfection and the lobster and crab were very flavorful. The lobster mac and cheese was AWFUL!! It was extremely dry, zero flavor, no lobster. It definitely wasn’t a hit or miss type of thing. Just not good in any sense of the word.

For dessert we ordered the Bananas Foster which is made table-side. The only negative thing I have to say is the quality of rum used. They use Gosling which is rail. It’s so overpowering and just took away from the dish. We only ate a couple of bites. The presentation...
