Blown Away!!! Hi friends!!! It's me the dude the just got the granddaddy's package to go.. If anyone is reading this, please pay attention!!! THIS is the place for BBQ in St Cloud.. We were greeted by no less that 2 people as soon as we entered the restaurant... It was not the obligatory "hi.... welcome"... It was a genuine enthusiastic, "Hi!! Welcome!!". The attitude immediately sold us on this restaurant. The young lady at the register and the gentleman, I believe the owner, engaged in some small talk about the menu and helped navigate to the items we wanted to order. Incredible service thus far.. The restaurant is small and can definitely get crowded easily..so they request that you wait in your vehicle or outside when waiting for your Togo order ..no issue there Maybe 8 or 10min later our friend that was the cashier brought the food to our vehicle with a huge smile and thanked us for coming. We got the ribs, pulled pork, brisket and chicken with baked beans, Mac daddy and cheese and corn nuggets... I hate corn nuggets! I am ordering THESE again!! Crispy outside, sweet, creamy, corny inside. Ribs are huge and meaty...like the ones Fred Flintstone got that turned his car over.... The chicken, well smoked, nice flavorful crisp skin, the pulled pork and brisket were equally as incredible. Baked beans, kinda sweet kinda smokey .. without question, the absolute best in the area! Mac and cheese, creamy, gooey packed with flavor also we got 4 pieces of grilled Texas toast... The service, the portions, the quality of food were perfection! WOW! We spent the week in Orlando and after eating at big chain restaurants all week, Granny's Southern Smokehouse was such a homey comfortable treat! Our experience started with the friendliest girl taking our order! Myrella made me laugh when I asked her what kind of Kool-aid they had, she told me "grape and red"; I knew this place was LEGIT! I ordered the brisket, fried green tomatoes and cheesy mac. My husband ordered the ribs and brisket with corn nuggets and coleslaw. He had never had corn casserole, so Myrella got us a sample, it was just like I make at home! While we waited for our meal to be prepared, we sat in the dining area and I had memories of when I was a kid, sitting in my great-grandma's big farm house kitchen (slanted floors and all) and I thought what a hidden gem we had found! Throughout our meal, she came by to see how we liked everything and we were both super impressed! All of the foods are made from scratch daily by the owner Jay. He smokes the meats, prepares the casseroles and the fried green tomatoes are breaded and then fried to order. Who does that!?!??! We ended our meal with NYGS, Not Your Granny's Snickers. Deep fried Snickers served with ice cream. O.M.F.G!!!!!!!!!! We obviously we were not able to eat all of our dinner and needed a box for our leftovers, but we ate every delicious calorie of that fried Snickers dessert! We will definitely be back!
