Unfortunately, I had an awful experience with Anita. I’m a door dasher, and I went in to pick up an order. Anita didn’t greet me, instead she directed me to the shelf where orders are placed. She didn’t even ask first, she assumed. The name on the order wasn’t mine so I waited. Anita turned around and asked me “what do you want?”. Shocked at her rudeness, I said, “I’m sorry, that isn’t my order. I’m just waiting.” She grabbed the ticket on off of the shelf and said, and I quote, “Do you know what the great thing is about working for door dash is?, you don’t need to accept those orders, and my boss is the general manager and I interviewed for it. Therefore, I’m not giving you this order and don’t ever come back.” She then threw the ticket in the trash. I had to call the customer to explain what just happened and unassigned the order which, caused the customer to not get it. I am appalled at Anita’s customer service and towards a door dasher. I’m sure the general manager will ask her what happened and look at camera footage, I’m in the hotel management business here in town and I’m familiar with the process of bad reviews. Her story will be different so I truly hope that appropriate action be taken. A personal apology from Anita and the promise of never treating a door dasher or customer like that again might be acceptable. It all depends on her “attitude”. In response to her words of never come back, I have a...
Read moreRestaurant pretty busy but seemed relatively clean. Girl with the front counter was friendly but fast. Two or three Cooks in the back. They give you a buzzer, so you know when your food is ready to pick up at the bar.
I did vegan night... Vegan burger came on a wheat bun with a vegan patty and was around 5$. This patty is completely vegan and is either 1/4 or 1/3lb...can't recall. I did no cheese, no mayo of course, and added avocado for a dollar... Burger was very fresh and included lettuce tomato and onion. There for also pepperoncinis and jalapenos at the bar for no charge.
What really brought me in here were the tempura green beans. They were delicious, I ate the whole bag before even trying the burger. if you are not vegan, I'm sure they would be even more delicious dipping them in the fry sauce which is located also at the bar. You probably get 20 or 30 pretty big green beans in a bag, they are lightly fried and are about $3. Perfect size. Less calories and fat than french fries if you are watching your nutrition.
So for about $10 I was able to eat a decent sized vegan burger and a good amount of fried green beans. I did not feel too full afterwards, was perfect portion,...
Read moreGreat choice for a high quality burger and side. BUT, it doesn't end there... The chicken and tuna burger options are available as well. This So Cal oceanside diner, is a unique place to get a great casual dine-in experience. The tuna burger is really amazing. I was hesitant for a while, but on a whim tried it out and it's so worth it. Extra lettuce and tarter sauce is the way to go!
The sides are great too. We usually opt for the fried green beans or sweet potatoe fries. Both are excellent choices!
They do have shakes, but we're not a big fan of those.
If you're wanting a burger and like old-fashioned flame broiled burgers, with healthier side options; this is a great place to try out. The price isn't much more than a fast food joint, but the quality is so much better. Everything is made fresh to order and the restaurant has always been clean during my visits. The staff is usually very friendly and quick to get orders out.
There isn't a drive thru, but they do curbside pickup through their online ordering. It was actually way convenient the last time I went and I just texted the online order I was given and they brought it right out to my car. Super slick....
