Mad Pita Express — Restaurant in Saint George

First of all I want to make it really clear that I am not giving the food from Mad Pita a 1 star rating. The food is definitely the only reason that keeps me going back and why I continue to tell people who live here and who are in from out of town to go to Mad Pita to eat. The 1 star rating is for the teenage cashiers and for how dirty the restaurant is every time I go in. I am only writing this review in hope that the owner or management sees it and pays more attention to the cleanliness of the restaurant and their staff. Because I am more than happy to delete my bad review and give Mad Pita a 5 star review if I see a change.

The last MANY times I've gone into Mad Pita (I have like almost 15 points with them so that tells you I go here often) the teenage cashiers don't seem to pay attention when I give my order. Many times they have messed up my order and I just tried to let it go because I love their food so much and I am also not one to be THAT customer and complain. Also I have worked in customer service as a teenager so I get it.

One time I got home and the teenager had only given me fries yes just fries nothing else. When I had choose a pita and told the teenager I only wanted the fries with the pita but no soda. Again I could tell they weren't really paying attention to when I put in my order. I was pretty upset about it because I had paid the full amount but I let it go because I had a really long day and I didn't want to drive back or had the energy to call and complain. Next time it was about the 8th time my order got messed up I had had enough. I will admit that I did get snappy with a young blonde boy who looks like he's 13 because I told him my order and I could tell he wasn't paying attention to me and then he charged me for something else.

Now with how dirty the restaurant is. 8/10 I take my food to go because of how gross the restaurant is every time I've gone within the last 6 months. The last time I went in was about a week ago and there was hardly any customers there (cause I could understand if they were really busy because I've seen when they are). There was several staff members and EVERY SINGLE TABLE was disgusting! The floors were disgusting with puddles of soda. EVERY trash bin was piled to the very top. My boyfriend choose the least disgusting table and HE had to clean it off the best he could so we had a place to sit and eat. We saw several staff members pass us to go to the back and the bathroom and completely ignore the fact that every table and the floors were disgusting and all the trashes were full. I ALMOST took a picture of the place and now I feel I should have to show that I am not just wanting to complain. Promise I will take pictures if I continue to witness this. It wasn't until we were almost done with our food that a young girl started cleaning off the tables. The thing is she would just spray it down and wipe everything to the floor. She didn't move the chairs or anything or even at the very least sweep the floors because there was left over food. She just did that and then fixed the chairs under the table and moved on to the next table. Never did any of the staff members touch any of the trash bins so we had to stack our trash a certain way so it wouldn't fall on the ground. My boyfriend told me that the men's bathroom was disgusting and so we used my hand sanitizer instead of going to the bathrooms to wash our hands.

AGAIN the food is absolutely amazing when you're given the correct order you ordered. And I am more than happy to delete this bad review once I've seen a change!

I just advise to people if you eat here always order to go and always double check your order before you leave...

If I could i would have given them 0 stars. We showed up when they were switching there registers and they took our order and told us they would come get us when we could pay. They didn't give us our drinks for our combos or a number for our order, after waiting for 7 minutes and seeing everyone else had their food I decided to go and ask for our drink cups and see if they were ready for us to pay. They seemed like they forgot about our order. I had to tell them a second time what our order was but luckily they turned in the slip so the food was ready but they forgot we ordered combos and had to ask if each orders was a combo and that I added feta to my sandwich. So service was horrible. The food was just as bad, I've worked at a gyro shop before (Albee's NY Gyro in Eugene, Oregon,). I ordered the gyro and thought it was crazy they charged .75 to add feta cheese. I also asked for them to add hummus to the pita and they gave it to me on the side. The meat wasn't very flavorful and the cucumber sauce was bland. The hummus was made from scratch which isn't always a good thing and this hummus proves it. The hummus was practically flavorless with a hint of lemon. I thought about going back a different time to try the falafel which is also made from scratch but I was so disappointed with there hummus and service i probably won't go back. My girlfriend ordered there chicken breast pita and it came with lettuce which the menu didn't say was on it and she doesn't like it. The chicken was just warm and the lettuce was mostly the stock with no real leafy greens. The only thing I found good...

Service was terrible! We eat here often, and I have never experienced bring treated like this before. I ordered online, and my order was supposed to be done at 650. I went in and realized everyone was in a rush and they were quite busy. I waited for a 10 minutes for them to call my name, and when it wasn't called I approached the pick up counter and asked if they had my order. She said yes, and it was coming right up. I watched them bag some items and put them on the counter, and I thought since I had just told them my name it shouldn't be confusing. Well, I watched them hand out many orders, at the while the two bags sat there. Finally I went and asked where my order was, she proceeds to hand me the items that had been sitting on the counter getting cold for about 15 minutes! I said no way, I told you guys I was here and I have been standing here waiting for my food and not once did anyone call my name. They offered to remake it and I could tell by the expressions of the ladies making the food that they were not happy. So I watch them as they are making the food and the long haired blond heavy set girl says " that's everything, get her outta here" ! I couldn't believe it! Like it was my fault that they messed up. I am a loyal customer who has sent many people there to eat. I understand they were busy but understand that I was spending $50 on food that should be at least warm when it is given out. And "get her outta here" is NEVER appropriate. I don't think I will be back. The food is good, but not worth being...
