I have never had a bad experience at any Texas Roadhouse until I went to this location tonight. We showed up at around 6pm and there was a 40 minute wait, which is pretty standard for that time of day. Once we were called back inside and told there was a table ready for us we still waited almost ten minutes to be seated. After being seated, we were not brought any silverware, plates, or rolls. Instead, we had to ask for each item individually once we realized our server, Chris, wasn’t going to bring them out to us. Our server never came back to ask us if we needed more water, and he never came around to check on us after we had run out of water. Once our food was brought out, we immediately had to send back one of the entrees because they brought us the pulled pork platter instead of the pulled pork sandwich. After he took that entree, I realized that my entree was also wrong. I had ordered the sirloin/ribs combo, and they didn’t bring me my ribs. Once our server brought back my friends sandwich, I told our server that I didn’t get my ribs, and also that my steak was overdone. We also realized that the “sandwich” that was brought out to our table was made with the exact same meat that was put on the platter, so there was way too much sauce and the sandwich was inedible. After my ribs were brought out, my server also brought out a placard showing me what steak temperatures look like. I ordered my steak medium, and every part of my steak except the very middle was gray, so this felt very patronizing. We also did not get a side of loaded fries that my other friend ordered, so we had to wait for that to be brought out as well. At this point, we still did not have any new waters, and none of our food was brought out correctly (if it was even brought out at all). The ribs that I ordered were so over cooked that they fell entirely off of the bones, the bones were white, and the meat felt like chewing wet paper. Eventually, a different server came by who asked us if we needed anything, and then brought us more water. We didn’t see our server again until it was time for us to pay. He did not compensate us for any of the things that were ordered, except he docked 99 cents of off the loaded fries because he took so long bringing them out. After we had already paid, the manager, Cynthia, came over and asked us what happened with our dinner and I explained, as kindly as possible, what was wrong. She told us that if we had talked to her earlier she would have been able to compensate us for the problems with our meal, but since we had already paid for our food the best she could do was give us appetizer vouchers. We told her that we did not plan on returning, but she insisted that this was all she could offer. We accepted the vouchers, and left the restaurant, but all of us feel very disrespected by the service that we received tonight, and we were not able to eat even half of the food that was brought out to us.
UPDATE: Two of the three people in my dining party (myself included) got food poisoning from the...
Read moreI love Texas Roadhouse but don't go as often as I used to. The food is pretty good but lately the fried pickles and my loaded steak fries have been over cooked (on multiple occasions). Last time the rolls were as well but thankfully this time they weren't! Last night I ordered the peach fuzz drink and was sad that it didn't come with any fruit like it showed in the picture of it. It was okay not the most flavorful and pretty strong taste of vodka. Our fried pickles took awhile to come out. Then our Caesar salads. The table next too us got there about 15 minutes after we did and had there food at least 20 min before we did. By the time our food came out we were full. I got the sirloin and shrimp. The shrimp was pretty good and the steak had a great flavor although undercooked for my taste. I asked for medium and it came medium rare. My boyfriend got the ribeye and asked for medium rare and it came medium well. Still a great flavor though. Both of our steak fries were over cooked. Even despite these things we enjoyed what we could while we were there and then took the rest home.
I also wanted to mention the staff. First of all, I tried to do Call ahead seating and no one answered. We decided to just go in. The hostess was awful! (I am a server and know what the hostess should be doing.) Both the girls at the front were just talking, laughing, and chatting with each other for a good 5 minutes before they even acknowledged we were there. Then when she did look at us it still took her a few minutes to talk to us. We had a 45-55 min wait... But we were expecting it (just frustrated that we didn't get to do the call ahead seating). THEN, when we finally got sat our server (Keaton) was great but very obviously flirting with me in front of my boyfriend. He was talking only looking at me and wouldn't make eye contact with my boyfriend. (I don't know if this was on purpose but either way was annoying to my boy). He did take good care of us as a server though and made sure we had full drinks! He checked up on our food when it was taking absolutely forever. When we were ready to leave he was very kind and gave us the rolls we asked for. But, as it was obviously we were on a date he asked if we had sperate checks and then when he brought it he put it face up in the center. (Whereas with another table he put it face down on the edge). When bringing back the change from my payment he slide the money and receipt down right in front of me and got oddly close staring at me. He again did not even look at my boyfriend before he left.
Overall we still enjoyed our night it was just not the nice, fun, enjoyable experience we were hoping for going out to celebrate at Texas...
Read moreI would like to start off with, I had to put a star in order to be able to post my review. If it was up to me, I would put zero. My husband and I have been to many Texas Roadhouse throughout the state because we travel. And I must say, this has been the 1st worst experience we've ever had with any other Texas Roadhouse. We ordered our food, and we both ordered 12oz steaks. His was medium rare and mine medium well. Once I got my plate, I noticed my meat was rare. Then they took it back, waited for about 20 mins, all for it to come back medium rare. Also, my backed potato was still hard. Didn't say anything about the potato since I've already sent the meat back to be cooked more. Let's not forget husband and I went out to have dinner so we can eat together. He ate some of his steak 1st and left some to be able to join me. Once he was about to continue to eat his food, he noticed a black hair on the plate. We brought it up to the waitress attention. She did say she will ask the manager to come by. The manager (SHAWNA) was rude and pretty much just grabbed the plate with the hair in it and walked away. Before all of this, our waitress ( Candice) never brought us our refills on our drinks. Till once again, we asked for them for the 3rd time. I ate some of my meat, and I can say just a few bites since after seeing the black hair on my husband's plate made me feel disgusting. Also, as soon as we left the restaurant, my stomach started to feel woozy. We had to stop at the Burger King right next to Texas Roadhouse. Let me tell you not a nice feeling. I can say customer service at this location sucks. The manager needs to take up manager classes because she has no skills for being a manager. We should've read the reviews before stopping here. We didn't because we felt there was no need to since we have been to so many. After our experience, I read some, and it sounds like we are not the only ones. I feel the owner just reads them and puts anything on their post. Because I'm sure the owner would have corrected all the complaints. I RECOMMEND DON'T EAT HERE DON'T WASTE YOUR HARD EARN MONEY. YOU JUST MIGHT BE BETTER OFF GOING TO BURGER KING OR MCDONALD'S. AT LEAST YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR...
