Great place to eat that is different than most other restaurants... known for their Brats... tons of options. We started with their amazing Mega-Pretzel. Nice pretzel crust with a delicate and fluffy internal, served with their jalapeno cheese dip (addicting). My wife had the Chicken Apple Brat... loved it. I had the New Orleans Cajan Andouille Brat. Toppings galore to choose from. My wife Jihima Apple Slaw (loved it). I added peppers and onions. For $5 more you can make you brat a meal (fries and a beer). The Fries are a special treat in and of themselves. Admittedly the beer choices for the meal deal are limited, the choices separate from the meal are amazing. Craft brews with alcohol content up to nearly 15%. I had ONE. Two would have meant my wife driving. But very very good. Everything was made fresh. Our only letdown was the chicken fingers-which seemed store bought. The atmosphere is very relaxed. Weather allowing, they open up the walls to the outside. Big screen TVs everywhere. Service was great and very helpful with choices. I've been to both the St Paul and Golden Valley locations - both...
Read moreWhat is even happening here. We stopped in at 3pm yesterday; there were about 10 patrons, all watching the soccer game. We sat at the bar for 15 min and never once did anyone ask us for an order. At one point a server brought some food out to a table so we know someone was working, but no one came to the bar, so we left and went to the pub across the street. We thought the food menu looked good so after our concert we came back to try again. I went to the bar and asked the server (early 20s female, brown hair, round face) if there was table service and was told that you have to order at the counter; I asked for a menu and she rudely pushes the paper menu at me and rolls her eyes. I’m not being reactionary, she legit rolled her eyes at me. Who does that? We weren’t about to spend money there so we went again to the pub across the street. I get that this is a trendy place but there’s no reason to be a jerk to customers. I don’t care if you’re the coolest restaurant in town, when you walk out the door, you’re still in Minnesota. Get...
Read moreGreat beer hall to hang out before or after attending special events at the Xcel Center. We played safe and ordered the Spicy Italian and the Short Rib burger with a small basket of Belgium fries. Spicy Italian was delicious with or without any toppings. Melted Provolone oozes out when bite into it. It has that crunchy snap every sausage lover likes. The Short Rib burger was supposed to be medium done, but it came medium well. It was overwhelmed with too much sauce and sweet slaw. Once the excess sauce and slaw was removed, the tender beefy flavor really shone through. You can't go wrong with Belgium fries with 10 -15 different dipping sauce to go with. It comes with one free sauce and each additional sauce is $1. Wait staff recommended the Pepper Jack, but it was on the mild side. We really liked the Wasabi Mayo we picked. It has all the Wasabi flavor without the potent kick at the end, and the mayo had that velvety mouth feel. We'll be sure to return another day to try some of the more...
