It's more than just the beautiful small park, it's really the whole neighborhood. Many of the original old houses surrounding it that have been restored, and because of this can be on the Historical Registry. With some there is history about the houses. Unfortunately, Forepaughs, the elegant mansion restaurant that closed in 2019 stands empty. My siblings & I could only imagine being able to buy one of the houses that was for sale & to open a B & B. If you like a nice quiet place, with unique ambiance and a great backdrop checkout...

The city decorates the park with lots of flowers around the gazebo, fountain, and other areas across the park. It’s super close to the river, yet you’d never know from there. I love all the old, beautiful houses that completely enclose the park. The gazebo and beautiful fountain are highlights, of course. The park is usually pretty quiet and is always...
