I recently had the pleasure of indulging in a breakfast sandwich that truly blew me away! From the moment I took my first bite, I knew I had discovered something special. The combination of flavors and textures was nothing short of perfection.
The sandwich featured a perfectly toasted artisan bun that was both crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Nestled within was a fluffy scrambled egg, cooked to creamy perfection, and seasoned just right. The addition of crispy, flavorful bacon added the perfect amount of savory goodness, while a slice of sharp cheddar cheese melted beautifully, creating a delightful gooeyness that tied everything together.
What really set this sandwich apart was the fresh avocado spread, which added a rich, buttery flavor and a hint of freshness that elevated the dish to another level. Each bite was a harmonious blend of savory and creamy, with just the right amount of zest from a touch of hot sauce that I opted to add.
The portion size was generous, making it a satisfying meal that kept me fueled throughout the morning. The atmosphere of the café was warm and inviting, and the staff were incredibly friendly, making the whole experience even better.
I can wholeheartedly say that I will be returning to this gem for my breakfast fix. If you’re in the area and looking for a delicious way to start your day, I highly recommend you give their breakfast sandwich a try. Trust me, you’ll want to spread the word about this...
Read moreDid a pick up for an order I placed through an app. The chef came out of the back after standing at the counter only a short while. He was kind and told me about some of the different food he makes from scratch.
The interior was quite lovely, but I'll admit that things look disorganized at and behind the counter.
He did start microwaving my pastries in the to go bag with the plastic still around the pastries. Honestly, that's a poor choice without asking first.
Lastly, I was overall quite disappointed in the food. I had a cheesy scalloped potato dish that I found delicious, but it was swimming in oil which would have put many other customers off.
I also got two pastries (blueberry muffin and a cheese/onion scone). They were both inedible for both my wife and I even after warming up at home. He said he makes them himself, but that is quite concerning. They had a very off-putting smell and had an extremely dry/thick consistency. Worst of all, the taste was one-note: bitter.
I wanted to like this place and the chef seems kind, but I think there are crucial wrinkles to...
Read moreI live a short walk from Saint City Catering (SCC) and visit two or three times a week. I typically grab one of their delicious craft coffee or tea drinks. But, one of my favorites is the Margarita or veggie pizza - among my top four pizzas in the Twin Cities. The veggie lasagna is also a tasty dish (I'm vegetarian).
My friends tell me they've never had a bad dish at SCC. I'm not surprised, though, because G-Mo is a bonafide,...
