We tried Seahorse for the first time on a Sunday morning. The food was exactly what I wanted for breakfast! It was a great value for both of us. My boyfriend loved the grits and I really liked everything in the classic breakfast + the biscuits! The cinnamon toast was also made perfectly. The service was fast and our waitress was very nice! It was very busy, as expected on a weekend, but we were able to be seated outside almost immediately. Inside was about a 30 minute wait, which I don’t think is too bad for a Sunday at 11:00am! They have some nice benches to wait with a view of the water. We will be back for our weekly visits to the beach at Passé a Grille

Found this place online as they had Sunday brunch. It was a little bit of a drive but worth it. Got extremely lucky with parking as we arrived as the spot in directly in front of the restaurant opened up. The wife ordered Blueberry Pecan Pancakes with eggs and sausage and swished it all down with a large mimosa (which wasn't large). She enjoyed her meal. I ordered the salad with house dressing and a bowl of the black bean soup with a side of cuban Toast. All were delicious. Nice little place with a lot of character and service was great.

Quaint old school Florida breakfast place nestled among a historic district. Breakfast was tasty, served with a smile and a friendly demeanor. Enjoyed the crispy corned beef hash and eggs. Other half enjoyed a tasty omelet. A nice way to start a sunny Florida day. Update Still quaint, still tasty. Crispy corned beef hash, tasty home fries, rye toast, and a Paradise pancake on the side. Better half had the Paradise pancakes and moaned with delight. Service prompt and friendly. No wonder its existed this long. A don't miss if visiting.

  • UPDATE* I'm currently sitting in sea horse again and I just want to give a little shout out to some of these ladies.. Sofie, Heather, and Vanessa rock! As you can see below I didn't have the best experience and being from the area it wasn't awesome having a bad experience at my favorite breakfast spot... These ladies have truly been such a joy anytime I come in always being on top of the orders and just being so sweet everyday! They are the reason for my new review and rating. They truly make this little breakfast spot a 5 star establishment! Thank you ladies and the other serves I've been blessed to interact with since 💖 Still not sure if the previous server still works here but thankfully I haven't interacted with her since...

-REVIEW FROM BEFORE- A few days ago I came in for the first time in a very long time and it unfortunately was disappointing. The food was great BUT noone in my group got the correct orders. The waitress was mixing up our orders left and right. When she originally took our order and read it back we corrected her yet when the food came it was still wrong.. we only had 3 at our table it wasn't a large group. Even getting our drinks refilled was a struggle as she tried to bring over the wrong drinks multiple times. At the end the food we wernt served somehow still made it on our check we pointed it out and she went to fix it. When she came back we were charged even more then the original check ... I don't run a restaurant or claim to know how but having someone who makes that many mistakes in just one customer interaction isn't good business. I hope to try the seahorse out again soon but I'll definitely make sure to request a different waitress. I cannot remember her name but she was the Hispanic women working during...

(It's not about the sanitizer. It's about the way a plastic cup makes a drink taste, and the microplastics that leech into the drinks, and the way the cups deteriorate over time. Drinks should be served in glasses. Plastic is not a material people should be drinking out of. I did hear commercials here, so I'm not sure what that's about. We pay for parking if there's no spot so again disagree on that point.)

This restaurant is very yummy. We come here often on our vacations. However, I'm not a fan of their rules. If I am dropped off and came in the same car as someone else, then they are just around the corner. Plus, I know their drink and food order. Please just let me sit down. Yeah the parking is bad, but that's also why I'm waiting for them to walk in even though we drove together.

Also, I think it's annoying they don't have straws (Yes, I understand the reason.) but they serve their water and other beverages in nasty plastic cups. I hate those cups so much. They make drinks taste horrible, and then I have to put my mouth on them because they don't have straws. Ugh!!!!!!

Also, the music is really bad and too loud. Please just pay for a music service. I really don't want to listen to loud commercials during breakfast.

Some of the servers are better than others. I found Heather to be the best one.

Lastly, could you get some other...

Ate here during my "Staycation" 4th of July week 2014. The service was good and the food came out quickly, but honestly, there was nothing SPECIAL about the restaurant or food. I had the biscuits and sausage gravy with cheese grits, and my hubby had an omelette with ham and cheese and a side of rye toast. The biscuits and gravy was ordinary, and the portion was small. The grits were terrible and tasted as if they were instant! Hubby liked the omelette, said it was cooked and folded perfectly, but nothing special. Lots of locals were at the bar, and the place is small so fills up rather quickly. The prices are cheap and the place is clean, but I'd probably have more selection at the local IHop. Eat here if you have no other choices (which is true if you're actually staying in Pass A Grille,) but if you can travel by car, go find the local IHop or Waffle House. It's really unfortunate that Pass A Grille/St. Pete Beach just doesn't have any outstanding breakfast...
