-REVIEW FROM BEFORE- A few days ago I came in for the first time in a very long time and it unfortunately was disappointing. The food was great BUT noone in my group got the correct orders. The waitress was mixing up our orders left and right. When she originally took our order and read it back we corrected her yet when the food came it was still wrong.. we only had 3 at our table it wasn't a large group. Even getting our drinks refilled was a struggle as she tried to bring over the wrong drinks multiple times. At the end the food we wernt served somehow still made it on our check we pointed it out and she went to fix it. When she came back we were charged even more then the original check ... I don't run a restaurant or claim to know how but having someone who makes that many mistakes in just one customer interaction isn't good business. I hope to try the seahorse out again soon but I'll definitely make sure to request a different waitress. I cannot remember her name but she was the Hispanic women working during...
Read more(It's not about the sanitizer. It's about the way a plastic cup makes a drink taste, and the microplastics that leech into the drinks, and the way the cups deteriorate over time. Drinks should be served in glasses. Plastic is not a material people should be drinking out of. I did hear commercials here, so I'm not sure what that's about. We pay for parking if there's no spot so again disagree on that point.)
This restaurant is very yummy. We come here often on our vacations. However, I'm not a fan of their rules. If I am dropped off and came in the same car as someone else, then they are just around the corner. Plus, I know their drink and food order. Please just let me sit down. Yeah the parking is bad, but that's also why I'm waiting for them to walk in even though we drove together.
Also, I think it's annoying they don't have straws (Yes, I understand the reason.) but they serve their water and other beverages in nasty plastic cups. I hate those cups so much. They make drinks taste horrible, and then I have to put my mouth on them because they don't have straws. Ugh!!!!!!
Also, the music is really bad and too loud. Please just pay for a music service. I really don't want to listen to loud commercials during breakfast.
Some of the servers are better than others. I found Heather to be the best one.
Lastly, could you get some other...
Read moreAte here during my "Staycation" 4th of July week 2014. The service was good and the food came out quickly, but honestly, there was nothing SPECIAL about the restaurant or food. I had the biscuits and sausage gravy with cheese grits, and my hubby had an omelette with ham and cheese and a side of rye toast. The biscuits and gravy was ordinary, and the portion was small. The grits were terrible and tasted as if they were instant! Hubby liked the omelette, said it was cooked and folded perfectly, but nothing special. Lots of locals were at the bar, and the place is small so fills up rather quickly. The prices are cheap and the place is clean, but I'd probably have more selection at the local IHop. Eat here if you have no other choices (which is true if you're actually staying in Pass A Grille,) but if you can travel by car, go find the local IHop or Waffle House. It's really unfortunate that Pass A Grille/St. Pete Beach just doesn't have any outstanding breakfast...
