I have been to the museum twice. It offers a great deal of historical information regarding coastal Pinellas County. From old documents to photographs to artifacts found on land and water. Seeing the old maps of Pinellas mangroves and orange groves to what it has now become is a bit sad. The WW2 room was my favorite. The museum can be done in 15 minutes for a quick walk through to it being a hours long excursion-it just depends on how much you want to delve into it. I learned about families who founded the gulf beaches and characters like the happy hermit, Silas Dent.
