My husband and I came here for an early dinner on Father's Day. I had called ahead to see how long the waiting line was and was told that a party of two would have no waiting. When we arrived at 4:15, the parking lot seemed pretty full and we were convinced we would have to wait. But we were able to be seated immediately and we had our choice of table style (booth, table, high table). Our waitress, Deonna, was at our table very quickly to take our drink orders. My husband wanted a beer and she knew all of the varieties that they had. She also informed us of a Father's Day special with beer and an appetizer that was available. (My husband ended up not wanting that option but it was nice to know it was available.) We got our drinks very quickly. Deonna made sure that we had refills quickly, either by asking us or by our request. Instead of a traditional appetizer, we decided to get a small 12-inch pizza as an app. We chose hamburger and tomato. It had a thin, St. Louis style crispy crust, and came out steaming hot. I thought it was delicious. My husband thought that the bottom section of the middle of the crust could have been crispier, but my feeling is if it had been cooked anymore, it would have dried out. The crispiness around the perimeter of the pizza was satisfying to me. The toppings were plentiful, spread to the edges, the sauce was good, and it had that nice baked brownness on the cheese topping. Deonna had taken our entree orders already by this time. This woman did not even write our order down. She memorized it! I have to admit, I was a little worried that something might come out wrong with our order. But our main dishes came and everything was perfect. My compliments to you, Deonna! My entree was whiskey glazed salmon, with a baked potato and a side of broccoli. Everything came out hot. The whiskey sauce was absolutely delicious. It did not taste alcoholic (so don't go for it if that's what you are looking for). But it did have a nice tangy, and yet slightly sweet flavor (and I do emphasize slightly sweet). The baked potato was the kind that you always want to get in a restaurant. The potato was the perfect consistency to cut with your fork and they actually went to the trouble of sticking salt to the outside of the skin. The broccoli was just like I like it, cooked soft enough that you can bite it and chew it easily. My husband got Cajun shrimp pasta and a Caesar salad. The pasta dish was a nice size portion. My husband said there were lots of good sized shrimp in the bowl. The cream sauce was spicy enough for him, but not so spicy that it was uncomfortable. He completely enjoyed the dressing on the nice sized salad. During our dinner, it was not just Deonna that waited on us. The manager Josh came by to ask how everything was. One person brought our pizza. Someone else might take an empty dish away. Someone else would bring our entrees. I appreciated that all of the service staff were helping each other. It felt like all of our needs were being met because everyone seemed to be chipping in. We had just spoken with Deonna to ask for more water. After she left, we realized that we should have given her a dessert order. One of the staff realized that we were trying to get her attention, and he went ahead and took our dessert order. We splurged on a large warm chocolate chip cookie, covered with three scoops of vanilla ice cream, and decorated with real whipped cream and generous swirls of chocolate and caramel syrups. It was only $5.99 (which I think is really reasonable for a restaurant dessert). My husband and I split it. I ate the cookie and he ate the ice cream. The cookie was big, warm, gooey, and had the ice cream on top of it. My husband appreciated that the ice cream was not all melty, but seemed like it had just been scooped and was still hard, although the bottom part was a little melty because it was sitting on top of the hot cookie. I had to use the restroom towards the end of dinner. It was clean and stocked with enough soap and paper towels. Even the full length...
Read moreBest restaurant/bar in the St.Peters area. Staff is always very friendly, food is always amazing, their specials are great and the atmosphere is second to none as far as restaurants go. This place has become a staple for my wife and I to go to. Highly recommend and it doesn't matter who you get as a server, you will always get fantastic service! Guy and Ally are AMAZING behind the bar and so is Christie during the day.ajor sports events on TV? This is your place to go! You can always count on amazing service here! Chloe, Megan, Katie, Kelsey and the rest of the wait staff are ready to take care of you at the drop of a hat!
Update: In the last year and a few months, this place has changed. Don't get me wrong the food is still fantastic and it's still a good place to go, but the way the service and management has changed has made this slide down quite a bit in my rankings. Management and service/wait staff can make or break a restaurant. If there was anything that could make my reviews go down, it's that, and it has definitely happened. There are still some great servers working here so don't let that stop you. The management team isn't as friendly and seem to go out of their way to not interact with customers. The only "supervisor" that is still there that actually interacts with customers is Chloe and she is FANTASTIC. she's been a mainstay for quite a while and when she leaves it just won't be the same. Tracy, Katie, Kelsey, Guy and Connor are some of the few remaining staples at this location and are the only reason I will continue to be a patron here. When they leave, I can only wish...
Read moreUpdate going back we had a completely different experience. Dorian was a great server in beginning of the interaction then fell through at end with checking in and bring refills. But maybe he was busy. Great personality tho. No real complaints there. My prime rib was ok. 16oz for $17 not bad price. It tasted ok didnt look that appealing tho. The GF had pork wrapped in apple wood bacon with bourbon glaze which was great! GRRREAT!
It was ok. Nothing special. But worth a try for sure. I had the cajun shrimp pasta substituted salad for mac and cheese. The GF had the 5 sampler platter. Food was average. The sauce was abit overpowering in the pasta. Not bad tho. Alittle spicy. But I'm a weakling when it comes to spice. The sampler was ok to. The hostess was average. No real greating just "how many" and "bar area or sitting area" he wasnt bad but not good. Our waitress Madison was clearly new and nervous. No complaints there as she was new. She was polite and friendly but maybe not the most outgoing person which could be the new and nervous part. She was fairly quick and got our order correct. She didnt know the answers to our questions however she did get answers right away. We tried to substitute lobster for chicken in the mac and cheese. And the answer we got from the waitress from the kitchen/manager was it would cost an extra 3 bucks. Guess you guys really like you chicken. Why wouldnt it go down or stay the same price? Doesnt lobster cost more than chicken? Either way that's why the GF went with the sampler. Overall not bad and worth a...
