Bagel Babe Co. — Restaurant in Saint Petersburg

Reviews of these bagels are spot on. Thin crispy on the outside and wonderfully chewy yet light throughout the center. I went there this morning for the first time. I was greeted by a gentleman from the Bagel Babe company who said good morning to me. I then went to the screen to order. Being a novice at cashless apps through my phone I needed help. He came right up and helped me through the Apple pay process and my order was in the kitchen. While waiting, the owner came out to greet me and asked about what sort of coffee I liked. There is a cool funky ice coffee truck (Nippy's Coffee) right there but I like simple hot espressos. The owner has a coffee concentrate she makes and said she could experiment with heating it with a little hot water and experimenting on an espresso just for fun. The experimental espresso was nice and speaks to the dedication and eagerness of this company to make their customers feel welcome to meet their requests when possible. I had a great bagel, great conversation and truly impressed with my experience and interaction with this up-and-coming business here in downtown St. Petersburg. The best bagel in St. Pete. Better than Pete’s, much better than St. Pete Bagel Co. I will say the price is more than I’d like. $5.25 for a blueberry bagel and cream cheese at a place with no amenities (bathroom, indoor seating, etc.). But for how amazingly delicious the bagel is, it’s worth it. Soft and chewy on the inside, slightly crunchy on the outside with juicy, bursting blueberries and the perfect amount of cream cheese. That is why I am giving 5 stars. Overall experience and price is 3.5 stars.

Its a bit of a different process. When driving there, follow signs for Foodie Labs. Park in the dirt lot that is for the whole building. wowowowoow. i have been on the prowl for the perfect st. pete bagel and i have finally found it. not only was the customer service incredible, but the bagel…. my god the bagel…. i got a bacon, egg, and cheese on a rosemary parmesan double toasted. it was perfectly crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. steaming when i opened the bag. i will think about this bagel forever . the baker jessie was the sweetest most passionate person about her business. i was raving to her about how incredible her bagels were and she gave me a free bagel to go!!!! this legendista. it was entirely family run and the labor of love was so clearly present in the product. genuinely have already texted all of my friends about this place and have made plans to go back next week. obsessed is an...
