I stopped by St. Smsh Brgr inside Foodie Labs just off the Pinellas Trail. It is a small setup but heavy on flavor and atmosphere with a playful West Coast smashburger vibe that stands out in St. Pete’s burger scene.
The star item is the smashburger. A thin seared patty layered with American cheese, burger sauce, onions, and pickles on a brioche bun. You can go single, double, or even triple. I went with the double and it nailed that crispy juicy texture I was hoping for.
The fries deserve a shout out too. Generous portion, nicely seasoned, and dangerously easy to finish. To drink, Wild Bill’s artisan sodas are a fun touch and pair perfectly with the burger.

I met the owner and he was a very pleasant person as well. Cannot recommend this...

A true smashburger with crispy edges and all. Oklahoma style was a nice change-up as well. Fries are so well-seasoned which is really make-or-break. You can tell that the chef put thought into each preparation method and ingredient.
This place better stick around because St. Pete needed...
