Okay y’all, get ready to settle in for a seriously glowing and lengthy review. If you’re impatient, the TL;DR is GET YOUR BUTT IN HERE, STAT! Having started my own deep dive into cooking (and conscious eating) back in the early Emeril, Bobby, and Mario days, I consider myself an OG foodie. I’m also a Philly girl by birth/childhood and having grown up somewhere that food is so ubiquitously high quality that you cannot survive as a food purveyor unless you are intense about your craft (even a simple deli is SERIOUS in Philly), I have high standards for all food without being a snob. An out-of-this-world sandwich is as special to me as a Michelin star tasting menu… so long as the chef shows his/her love and commitment. That will get you my five stars. This morning I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Eat, Art, Love on 22nd Street S in my beloved St Petersburg (tucked just behind Foodie Labs). Waking in, we were immediately greeted by Jess with a warm, authentic, and friendly welcome. We did not have a reservation (we will make sure to do so in future because the restaurant is fabulously tiny), but we were fortunate to get a table. I was immediate reminded of one of my favorite restaurants in Philly—Little Fish—that has only a handful of tables. I absolute love an intimate place that a chef can make into his/her own personal domain. It feels like you’ve been invited to their house for family dinner (Big Night, anyone? A movie that MUST be watched…). The art on display is lovely and meaningful, the mix of furnishings endearing, and the smell of coffee in the air mouthwatering. Before I get to the food (I DID warn you this would be long… does Google have a length limit on these things? Guess we are going to find out.) I would like to start with the coffee bar. I think it’s a very smart move for a chef with a new restaurant to focus on what he does best, which is make outstanding food. They partnered with the coffee providers to build the coffee bar inside the restaurant. So your bill for the coffee is separate, but you get a wonderful treat. There are a wide variety of coffee choices. I had the Raspberry Beret. It was an iced latte which I had with my preferred oat milk, topped with a raspberry foam and freeze dried raspberry chips. It was absolutely delicious. My husband had the Cortado, also with oat milk, and reported that it was delicious. On to the food… first the selections all sound delicious so it was quite hard to choose. We immediately knew we’d be back. I ended up choosing the E.A.L. Classic, which featured the best scrambled eggs I’ve ever had that I didn’t make myself (or my husband, who makes beautiful eggs). Soft and moist, with just the right amount of salt. Paired with a perfectly cooked kielbasa, sauerkraut, an ultra crispy (but soft inside) block of hash brown, and chef’s homemade hot sauce… it hit all my must haves. The hot sauce was grassy and bright/acidic, offsetting the fatty kielbasa perfectly. And the crunch of hashbrown lent texture to the soft eggs. Finally the sour of the sauerkraut complimented it all. After waxing poetic it was just YUMMY y’all. My husband had the famous Grandpa Larry’s Benedict. This had perfectly poached eggs (which should be obvious but many places get this wrong) with a 24-hour sausage ragu sauce prepared with the love you’d expect from an Italian chef… over fantastic sourdough slices. Chef Mario Brugnoli, who competed on TV’s Chopped, introduced himself and checked in on our experience. He shared things about his preparations, which I always appreciate, and his passion was as clear in his descriptions as in his food. Eat. Art. Love. Is an absolute gem. I’m so happy for the Burg to see this type of special local treasure popping up. Please go check it out for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.

Latest visit 8/9/25 3rd times the charm! I feel like and E.A.L pro now. We made a reservation, ordered efficiently and devoured everything. I was also a little shocked, but presently surprised to see the menu had been expanded… trust me when I say the more food this place offers, the better. The quality hasn’t dropped since my last visit i think 4 months ago- and the new options are delicious add ons! You can't go wrong with this place. Consistent excellent service, flavors and creativity The menu has been expanded ANNND chef is bringing in some of the best bacon you can find, real Bacon cooked expertly or buy it and take it home to cook your way! 9.5 Had the biscuits and gravy- 8.7 unique and tastey - good gravy not over salty layered on tooe of scratch made cheddar biscuits!!! Next we had the new blue berry pineapple cheescake pancake- your read that right and its better than i expected- the strawberry os still my favorite but this new pancake is a work of art multiple textures and flavors coming together for masterpiece worth a try for sure Another great experience at Eat Art Love. You cant go wrong! ———- Once this place blows up (in popularity) and gets a larger location.. (if they want) and maybe a slightly larger menu (just for me)- this place will be my first prefect rating- as it is now its a solid 4.7 The food is great expertly crafted. This was my second time there and they have a more artisan vibe in a smaller intimate setting. We had a minor issue this go around. I originally ordered the chicken sandwich which I’ve heard is amazing when it arrive the flower had sadly burnt. I asked if they could refire it however they were out of chicken for the day sooo I ordered the strawberry pancake instead and a hash brown - I had the apple pancake last time, which is why I was switching to the chicken sandwich in the first place, but the strawberry pancake is phenomenal. It is it a great experience if you ever see it on the menu it’s a must ORDER!!! order it has strawberries, strawberry syrup with Matcha whipped cream, and strawberry crumble on top. Even if you DONT like strawberries this is a treat! Its not too much Or overly strawberry-y- we also had the ragu eggs Benny which was tasty but not a Benedict to me. AND they comped my second order completely. Which they didn’t have to do and most businesses wouldn’t do. They might’ve taken off one item or a drink. The chef came to our table and expressed this sincere apologies for the unfortunate experience, initially. You can tell they care about the food and about their reputation and the experience of each customer. The highest recommendation

1st time here, and for those of you who recommended this place, thank you so much! Too long don’t want to read: this place is fabulous go and check it out! What a lovely little place, it is in a small strip so the parking is right there which is nice, right down the road from 3 Daughters. It is a beautiful light and airy pace inside which features local artists on the walls and plays instrumental versions of popular music for the soundtrack, think Bridgerton type music. We started off with a Prosecco and I had the seasonal special which was Pear Sangria, delicious with lots of warm cinnamon notes but not too sweet. I had the poached egg dip which was an absolutely decadent combination of two nicely poached eggs nestled in a rich savory creamy potato sauce, with perfectly toasted sourdough bread to dip into it. I had to get the feta grits and was well rewarded by that choice. Beautifully cooked grits with just the perfect amount of salty feta flavor. Both of my choices came in adorable teacups. I was wondering if I would have enough to eat, but ended up being “just right” not hungry, but not in a food coma either. My partner had the Fried Chicken sandwich which came out on a nice soft bun, menu says it is a potato roll, it had hot honey and pickled cabbage slaw along with mayo to make a perfect bite. The chicken itself was cooked exactly right, cooked through but still juicy and the crust was not overwhelming. They have local beer as well as Prosecco and a number of coffee offerings as well. Jess who took care of us was a lovely and knowledgeable person and we got the chance to say hello to the chef as well. This is truly a special little place and I hope they continue to thrive, I know we will be back soon. 💜⚜️ — at Eat Art Love.
