I generally have a love/sad relationship with Pete's general. I really like their bagels. Although lately their salt bagels have been really really plain. But it kind of depends when you go for the experience you have. There is one woman who seems to generally always be there and she is quiet but nice and I like her. We have gone and got his younger girl who insisted for a while I couldn't just get a bagel to bring home. She kept insisting I had to fill it with something and toast it. But I couldn't eat it for a while so I didn't want it filled and toasted. Finally someone else came out and said it was fine just to get the bagel. They have some cute items in the store but it is very pricey. Not saying the things aren't priced appropriately but it's not a place where you can go and affordably pick up some stuff. I think there should probably be more variety for drinks. It's mostly just cold brew cans. I also feel like people ask questions like on posts like social media and there's not really a presence to answer these questions. So it feels like an unhelpful ghost town. I do appreciate that they have been making a wider variety of baked goods. I think that is their gold piece. Although, im still salty that their salt bagels have basically become completely plain bagels. So this rollercoaster review basically sums my roller coaster experience there. They have great baked goods but some not...
Read moreWanted to give this place a try since I live in the area and saw all the hype on social media and loved the concept and flare it had and the bagels looked amazing. The layout is cute and definitely has stuff you can find at the flea but can get here conveniently daily. We buy unholy beer for almost $5 cheaper elsewhere so their markup seems pretty high on some things, especially their food. We ordered a cookie, some type of small cinnamon bun (which was very dry and stale), two bagels with cream cheese and a root beer for about $24 without “tip”. I was sadly disappointed as the bagels were a little tough and chewy even after they were “toasted” but they were very tasty. I think when paying over $5 for a bagel and cream cheese I expected a lot more. I don’t mind paying the price if the experience and food is fenomenal but unfortunately it was not. Yes, they are made fresh daily as they claim but they did not seem that way. Other local bagel shops make them fresh daily as well and they are a fraction of the cost and the quality is there. Wishing this pace the best of luck but the food is overly price for what you get. Honestly, I think this will be their biggest complaint. I think it has great potential but definitely needs some tweaking in some areas. I really wanted to love this place. Best of luck! Maybe I’ll try again in...
Read moreI was really excited to visit this bakery, but found myself a little disappointed. The customer service was great- she was nice, patient, and happy to help us with our needs. We waited about ~15 min for our order to be completed, and its fair. But the food itself... The bagels were HARD and definitely not fresh! They were not soggy, but chewy (like eating a twizler) I got a cream cheese one, and it was quite a mess, especially with it being not cut in half and so hard to accomplish such with a plastic knife. We too got a piece pf the blueberry cake, and it was really undercooked, like eating dough. We spent nearly $50 for our whole order, and I am sure Walmart bagels are no worse. The strawberry shortbread was like eating sand- it was definitely not fresh, and i am astonished by how this business is still going with the rubbish serving....
