We went on both Monday and Tuesday. I had a class in town and this Salem's has always been mine and my families favorite. Monday. We arrived at 11 no one was in the restaurant. Great service. Great food. Tuesday was like walking into chaos. We went at noon and first off there are no parking spaces. Then there was a line. Fine we know all of this - it's popular, historical known, with freshly cooked food. Cashier had a slight rush us through attitude. Ok I get it your busy. My sister likes her French fries crispy, I wanted just tomatoes on the steak sub. With mayo on the side. I've got stomach issues and didn't want to spend the rest of the day sick. Np she said. I even repeated it to her at the end of the order. 20 minutes later we get the food. Fries warm not hot certainly not crispy. And sub has mayo and green peppers on it. I took it back up. Waited 5 minutes to get her attention. She catches an attitude like it's my fault. Hollers to the back for the remake. I watch for 15 more minutes as my family eats their food. Im getting mad. The guy in table behind us hears me comment on how long its taking and he says yeah you went up there before I even ordered my food(as he's eating his food). I send my sister back up for a refund because im done with them and I'm over it. Suddenly they produce a sub. Looks nothing like the first sub they presented with cheese on half and still no side of mayo. Im done. You guys make great food. There's a reason everyone knows Salem's. But your customer service needs help. And if someone specifies something. Put it on the receipt. You are too busy to expect calling something over the system will be remembered 10 minutes later when they are making that order. I won't come to this one again. So disappointing.

We’ve eaten at Salem’s Fresh Eats on 34th Street N & 9th Ave in St. Petersburg several times now, and overall it’s been a solid experience. Their gyros (both chicken and meat) are usually delicious, though they tend to go a little heavy on the tzatziki sauce, which can make them messy. Flavor-wise, though, they always hit the spot. We’ve also tried the chicken sandwich specials (2 for $10.99–$11.99). Personally, I’m not a fan of their grilled chicken patties—they come across as pre-formed and cooked on the grill at the time of order. I can’t speak to the fried version yet, but the grilled doesn’t stand out. Today we tried the burger special—two 1/3 lb burgers for $11.99 (add cheese for $1.99–$2). The burgers aren’t premium, 100% beef; you can tell there are fillers. But for the price, they’re decent—definitely middle-of-the-road, but filling and worth it when you consider the value. Their potato salad was a pleasant surprise. It’s creamy and tasty, though not mind-blowing. At $5.99, the portion size could be a bit larger, but it’s still a nice side option. All in all, Salem’s Fresh Eats is a reliable spot when you want decent food at fair prices. It’s not gourmet, but it gets the job done, and the gyros in particular keep us coming back.

Randomly encountered this spot on a 1am food hunt in St Pete in which I was trying to get some food that had options in seafood due to my dietary needs. That said at 1am beggars can’t be choosers as McDonald’s and Wendy’s were pretty much the only other options. I saw “fresh eats” on a sign and was reeled in. They had a lot of seafood options which was amazing and I opted for the #3 with about 10 shrimp, a large slice of tilapia, fries and a drink. This was about $18 which value for price was overall on the higher side but ok. The seasoning on the fries and the way they were cooked were great. Light and crunchy. On the other hand the shrimp had aalllot of seasonings on them ( a bit too much) but it was still well done on the cooking part as they did taste fresh and not tough in texture. The fish was light and buttery with a perfect amount of seasoning. The only downside being I didn’t receive a fork… so I had to eat that perfectly cooked (grilled) tilapia with my hands… which got hella messy. Overall better fast food than most (especially at 1 am)!

WARNING ⚠️ if u leave a negative Review this owner signs u up for SPAM!!! Why I troll @ 3am 2 get something eat on web & log out immediately get an alert for a UPS package @ 3 am. No worries I'll forward this over to BBB @ICE, Plonix Law. Since u wanna play. Stop shopping @ all Salem's 5+ yrs ago, just recently ordered 2x this week total of 42 bucks. But I realized really quickly why I stopped. Customer service is poorly pissed @ best. Made a mistake on an online order trying 2 get in b4 closing on 7/30 3:30ish. Ended up making it 8/01@ 12:10. Young lady said just call tomorrow whenever u wanna pick up. So called around 10 pm spoke ur manager, played in my face on the phone. I don't see the order, I went up there now he has his memory back (showed him the order & offered to show my bank app) #7 garlic parm. Hands me a cup& gives 5 drumettes and fries 4 20.33? Really, he called me a liar I proceeded to show him my order & he says he's going to give me 10 shrimps. I paid 4 it, how does ur Afro American manager don't know what the #7 is? Again playing in my face, being nasty and stealing from me. That's why I stumbled upon a restaurant downtown that basically has ur menu + more & close at 4am. I purposely don't show with any Salem's or ur community for that very reason. Black are treated like trash by ur community like we don't have options, that's why I moved to the North side @ least we're treated like human beings & don't worry I won't be back. I'll let a 🤍 man steal from me at least we're used to it. Please go over ur menu items with ur manager so he will stop stealing for u. If we stop patronizing with u maybe Starbucks will talk to the city and tell them u guys are not a good look 4 the Starbucks brand & maybe will get an In & out or a Jack's. Thank God Bojangles will be by the mall soon, get companies that...

Makes no sense. I ordered online through app. Previously I’ve ordered and was able to pick up in drive thru without any problems. This time however was very unnerving. I drove to the drive thru which was not busy I was the only car there. The person asked if I could come inside to get my order. I was wearing my pajamas and I had my dog with me so I said no I can’t. He asked why and I said I am not dressed for public….He asked what the name on the order was and told me I have to come inside because he can’t give me my order from the drive thru window. It was the 2am…telling a woman to park and go inside instead of going through the drive thru is not safe in that area. I felt very uncomfortable. The worker gave me no other option but to go inside to get my order. There was no customers at the counter, two workers, one of which was just looking at his phone and other was at the kitchen window. The worker put his phone down, I gave him my name to pick up the order. He went to the DRIVETHRU WINDOW to get my order and had me tell him what I ordered. My name is unique having me tell him what I ordered on top of that added more to this ridiculous experience. I had to rush to my car because I was uncomfortable and embarrassed going into the store wearing my pajamas too. I checked my order in my car I was missing the Taziki sauce for my gyro and My garlic Parmesan sauce for my wings. I had to go back inside again to get the sauces. This time two people tried to stop me asking for money when I ran back to my car. The service SUCKED!!! They never apologized for missing the items and the drive thru was running and delivering orders through the window with no problems. This experience was very inconsiderate,...
