How is this place still in business after all these years? Why am I still ordering from them after all these years? When the food is done correctly and you receive the correct order it's delicious. Or actually I can't say that because I've never received my order the way I ordered it. Every single time for the last 15 something has been wrong. Sometimes it's as simple as they don't bring the ketchup but most of the time I get the complete wrong order or it's not cooked the way I requested it. I decided a couple years ago not to order from them anymore because of this. I don't think I left a bad review previously because I know that they are a loved Community restaurant & I have enjoyed speaking with Tan over the years. But, tonight I called to order wings and fries. Tan took my order. She has been working there for many many years and I would expect her to know her menu. I asked her which wings were the very spiciest. I told her I wanted the hottest spiciest wings they had. I said okay. I also ordered the wings that are labeled chocolate habanero. You would think that they would be a hint of spice at least in both of my wings. Well I can assure you that the chocolate wings are just a chocolate sauce from the grocery store, the kind you would expect to pour over ice cream. I even tried to lick the sauce by itself to see if I could detect something similar to the other wings didn't have any heat either but they tasted sweet. So I called and I literally had to argue with them about them bringing me what I ordered and paid for. Their solution was to bring me a different hot sauce and let me keep the same wings. I didn't want the wings with the sugar. Some people have health problems and they order wings so that they don't eat sugar. I'm one of thosepeople. Literally had to go back and forth and back and forth and they were expecting that I should be happy with another sauce to dip my sugar wings into. Finally they said they would redo my wings. Then I opened up my sauces which were supposed to be blue cheese and found out that they were ranch. I clearly asked for blue cheese with my wings and ketchup with my friend's fries. The ketchup was delivered. So, I called back again and told Tan that I ordered blue cheese with my wings. Initially she did agree with me that I said that and then she was talking with somebody else and she came back and told me that there was blue cheese with the french. Indeed there was. There were three sauces total. Blue cheese was with the french fries and two ranches were with my 20 wings. I abhor ranch. Then she began to tell me that ranch typically comes with wings not blue cheese. This is so ridiculous that I'm arguing with them about my order and about what she wrote down and about her giving me the opposite and then her expecting me to keep the opposite and be happy with it. She was literally trying to tell me that I needed to keep the ranch because that's what comes with the wings. So this is my public declaration that I will never order from this place again. I would love to just be able to order from them and enjoy my meal but it is not worth this aggravation. I don't know how they're still in business. And I fully expect to get a nasty returnabout this review because I've seen all of the nasty responses over the years. If ever I recommend this restaurant to people in the future I'm definitely going to tell them that the chances of them getting their food correct very low and that they should order with...
Read moreWe had been curious of Siri's & decided to try a pizza 8/29- really just to try the place as we get take-out alot & hoped to include it among places we enjoy regularly. For the same reason ordered for pick up- to see if we might like to dine in sometime. Pick up was stated at 35 minutes & I arrived just at that time. Cashier lady was serving another guest & was available in about 5 minutes to take payment. After several more minutes it didn't seem that she- or anyone- was about to hand over my pizza so I asked. There seemed to be quite a bit of confusion & finally the young man preparing the food turned to me & said my pizza would be the NEXT ONE he would make! I thought of getting a refund but talked with my friend- already there & as I said wanted to try the place. I did notice there was only 1 party dining in yet the kitchen was very busy so must have been to go & delivery orders. So we just took a walk, came back & still not ready. Altogether waited 40 minutes after pick-up time so 1 1/4 hours for a pizza. Even so if we had been given a real time at order it would have been alright. No concern from staff of the delay- just here's your pizza- shove off. As it turned out, pizza was not done- center third was still doughy & stuck to box- we had to cut out the part that was edible. The rest was pretty tasty though. So called in mid-afternoon following Wednesday (being considerate that would be a slow time) & asked to speak with a manager to share my experience. Man answering phone stated he is owner. Well, after one sentence, I was not able to get a word in edgewise. He went off on a non-stop tirade about how the staff was not giving realistic order times (Duh!), how most of them were new because most people were worthless & would rather collect their unemployment bonus than work (Imagine not wanting to work for this man?), how he & his wife had been managing on their own etc. Finally he seemed to expect sympathy from me because place had been so busy that night that he had to come in later to help them!! Imagine the gift of having a business so busy & being resentful of having to come in to assist your guests & staff? I did manage to try to complement the young man making pizzas because despite chaos all around him he was hustling & very pleasant. This also went over the owners head, responding that the employee was still learning. He wasn't even listening to anything I said, even a positive comment, just babbling about how tough things were for him. I wasn't really looking for anything - still wanted to try the pizza again or one of the good-looking sandwiches we saw while waiting- although maybe a discount on a future order. Service is forgivable with an apology (Not given) but remember the pizza wasn't done even after a long wait. All he finally said is it would be better next time. Not even a Thank you for trying his restaurant. Why would we ever return to Siri's- to benefit this selfish & nasty man? Look at his other responses to reviews. This place needs to die a quick death so this fellow can be relieved of the misery of serving guests &...
Read moreVisited once during Tuesday market. Great refuge from the crazy. Decent food, shady location, pleasant table service. Not sure who's who there, but Missus Siri was charming - friendly , engaged and welcoming. Mister Siri not so much - ignored us until he couldn't any longer, and then spoke to Missus Siri, in front of us, so brutally that it was embarrassing for everyone ( but him, I guess, as it seemed his default mode). Not OK. Mebbe that's their thing, but can't support what sounded like misogyny. As nice as it was to get away from the crowds closer to the beach - we were looking for an alternative go-to - by the time we're there we're close enough to just walk home, or to the car.... and go somewhere out of Gulfport. Which is our plan for next time. Update : Pretty sure Mister's response just validated our first impression. LOL "the chef". Ok, dude. You're a chef. (Not.) And it's personal because YOU'RE the reason we won't be back. Get it? YOU. You weren't even slightly welcoming. No one expected you to come out of "the kitchen".... which is completely open to the rest of the building. You were standing 6 ft away from us and couldn't be bothered to look up and smile. We came in happy to try out a new place and you just squashed the vibe. And you weren't cooking...unless pulling a pie out of the oven counts (cause it clearly sends you into chef-overload). And then you raised your voice to the Missus. In front of us. YOU chose that. No one else helped you along. You. Your wife was kind and helpful. If she's content to be spoken to in that tone (there's direct and there's disrespectful, and you're the latter) , that's her choice. But we won't be spending money or time there to hear it. Another response! OKaaaay. So - to be clear - the beach joints were busy. You weren't. (surprise!) We said that, in the original review when we said you were respite from the downtown crazy. There was one seated table outside, that had been served. That's it. And us. You, and the two of us, in the whole building and you couldn't manage to say "welcome in". Your wife did when she came in...before you interrupted to admonish her (because your annoyance was clearly more important than her being friendly to customers) for whatever she'd done to ruin your mojo for the day. Sounds like the world hates you, but it's still not cool. Not good business. Not nice. (PS: There's no u in scowl. And if you see scowls from your customers every day, it's probably because you attract what you project. Which is what we said. ).
LOL Wrong party that thinks you're a lout, dude. We ate out front and sat for a bit. Guess you're not a chef OR a super sleuth, having mistaken us for yet someone else who finds you unpleasant. Must be lots from...
