Slizzy McGee's — Restaurant in Saint Petersburg

Yes it’s a small hole in the wall bar with cold cheap drinks that will get served to you on time from some of the happiest bar keeps in town. The place is small but has everything you could ask for good cold beer, and they have a very large selection of local brew along with some foreign beer if that’s what you like. They have 2 pool tables and about 6 electronic dart boards with loaner darts in a bucket hanging on the wall and one foosball table. The music does get a little loud at times so you might want to bring ear plugs not kidding. The parking is great if you can’t find any spots in front just swing around the back of Rutland plaza and they have parking in the back. It’s pretty much the same place when it was called sneakers but a little better, have a lot more TV’s. Cleanliness is ok, service great, beer is cold and the locals are all friendly, I'm one of them. The only reason I did not give a five star is because the freaking music is so loud some times I can’t even think right. They need to turn the music down like way down put some air freshener in the AC unit and the place is a 5 hands down, Go enjoy a cold one on me , play a little darts and watch the game. You will...

I used to go there when it was Sneakers and it was a real toilet hole. When I left ther I swore never to return. You'd stick to the floor, the booths were all shot and ripped (every single one), the bathrooms were frightening, the food was mushy and disgusting, the place smelled horrible. However I hung there out of convenience and my club hung there.

Tonight, we just happen to be in the area and I noticed the name had changed. So, why not, right?

All I can say is WOW! And even that is nowhere near enough to describe how I felt with only one foot in the door. The new owners REALLY did an AMAZING job on this place. I even felt comfortable using the bathroom. I didn't have a moment of fear eating their wings. These guys did a real bang up job. I live 3 hours away and have made a commitment to return as often as possible, for no other reason than, they deserve the business.

Excellent neighborhood pub. A local watering hole where you get to meet people you know as regulars as well as new patrons in a friendly atmosphere. Has many draft beers from basic domestic, imported and craft beers. Has full liquor with premium choices and great mixologists. Has full sports coverage.
