Duffy's is a must! We made it our last stop before the airport after a week in Red Hook. We almost overlooked it, but I'm so happy we didn't. Don't let the fact that it's sitting in a parking lot fool you. It doesn't look like much from the street, but I ce you head up to the Chelsea Pharmacy parking lot, you will spot a very well themed tiki bar.
Bryce was great. Very friendly and engaging with our 2 sons. He kept bringing them virgin frozen drinks. They were either in the house or extremely low priced because the 4 of us are and drank (including souvenir tiki mugs) for $108 before tip.
Conch fritters and Jerk Chicken Nachos we're amazing. I'll assume the coconut shrimp were as well, but my son inhaled them. My youngest ordered the appetizer basket of Smith Bay [Chicken] nuggets. It was the most my picky eater ate all week. I tried one as well and they were delicious. Portions certainly were generous. We did our best to finish but we had to leave some behind.
I had the Hula Boola and my wife had the Tiki God Rum punch. Each drink comes in a unique mug that you can take home. The drinks were excellent. Hand crafted, balanced and very visually appealing, as a tiki drink should be.
The decor is very Forbidden Island with a fun, playful atmosphere that makes everyone feel welcome. Don't forget to ask about the metal Bruce overlooking everyone. They may show you a...
Read moreI don't think I've laughed this hard in a long time... Talk about stumbling upon a gem in St. Thomas! Legit the best parking lot bar in... Anywhere? We happened upon this place at 4:30 on a Wednesday, which is 30 mins before lobster night that sells out (make a res if you're going on Wednesday!) Just our luck, we were able to sneak in and get a table with two random Minnesotans to have drinks for 30 mins, and then someone canceled their res and we got to stay to eat. The drink menu is LEGIT! Between the four of us, I think we single-handedly tried all of the drinks. Each drink comes in its own hilarious souvenir cup. The shots all come in themed shotglasses (the shotgun shell "Double Barrel" was Jack Daniels and something else and the "Trophy Wife" tasted like a thin mint cookie). The alligator was "VooDo You Do" and it was a kamikaze. The pours are generous and free shots show up when you least expect it. We ordered the fish tacos (Mahi Mahi and super tasty!) and the Hula Hula Teriyaki Chicken Sandwich. It was so damn good! Our server, Bryce, was awesome and did some shots with us. Just make sure you drink water!! The bathroom is super tiny but clean. We would definitely go back for...

We stopped in here for lunch on a sunday, around 11:45.
There was plenty of seating available when we got here so we chose to sit at the bar. We met our bartender Will and started off with a PainKiller. Will can make the drinks! and it was the perfect start to a great meal!
The boyfriend ordered the cheese burger and I got a grilled chicken sandwich. We cut them in half and split them. So good. Hot fresh and perfectly seasoned. We wanted an order of onion rings; however, they were out of these on this day. I wanna give a shout out to the coleslaw. Often overlookedI will have to say that duffy's coleslaw is delicious!
If you've been to the red hook area of saint thomas, you know Duffy's...it's a small little trailer in a parking lot so the bathroom is around the corner and the key has to be requested from the bartender. Once one receives the key, they begin the walk of shame to the bathroom because the key is attached to a regular sized toilet seat! By the way, Duffy's turns 30 this year.
Always a great experience here, and we will...
