"Good luck! I hope the pizza is better than her attitude," a mother says to me as she exits the bar with her kid circa 7pm on a Thursday.
Surely the mother must be joking... But this is no joke. This is a warning.
Moments later, the bartender (a generous word for someone seemingly devoid of skills required for the profession.. We will call her 'Chungus') yells at an elderly man for speaking too quietly while ordering. He is then scolded for pointing instead of speaking, rendering him unable to order. She approaches me and my girlfriend, yells, throws her hands up in the air akin to a child denied candies at the grocery store. I almost called the Wambulance. Chungus wanted to leave (the Rum Hut or the planet, I am not sure), and she seemed determined to take patrons, young and old, with her. All this, I learned before my first sip of beer.
After sitting awkwardly for 20 more minutes at a quiet bar, I begrudgingly parted with the $5 I owed, and left.
Had I not experienced the obnoxious behavior from Chungus, I may have enjoyed the fun swing barseats and fair prices. Though I never did get to order that pizza, the aforementioned couple said it was good.

I ordered a drink and asked for a small, and he insisted i get a large size instead of a small.
