Charleys Cheesesteaks — Restaurant in Salem

We literally drove 26 miles just to get the Philly cheese steak. Where we grew up there was a Charley's near by so we ate there constantly. We moved to Oregon and just assumed we had to forever live without it. One random Google search later and low and behild! The nearest one for us was in Salem! We rushed there instantly and were not disappointed. There were only 2 of us but we ordered 9 sandwiches. The guys were great! My only regret is we didn't order ahead and arrived prior to lunch time causing their regular customers to wait a bit to fulfill our order. Sorry guys! However, it was so worth the drive, for us anyway. It was a familiar taste of home and still good the next day. I'm hoping for a day they open one up in Mcminnville or Newberg!...

Love charley's! Their cheese steaks never dissapoint. I honestly wish they had locations outside of the mall, but honestly i think great chains like this make a nice draw to the mall so i can't complain too much when we only have one real mall left in town. On this trip i had the limited time Kentucky Burbon cheese steak and it was great! The staff was professional and even double checked that customers wanted all included fixings on the sandwich and though we aren't usually picky in our house, it is a nice touch when servers and cashiers at sandwich establishments make sure they customer is happy with all toppings! 10/10 i will assuredly return so long as their...
