Whenever one wanted wings in town one would go to bars or chain places like BWW or Wing Stop. When I heard that a new local wing place was opening up I was not only excited but I had high expectations... iWingZ did not disappoint!
We started with a 24 piece traditional wings as we were starving. They allowed us to select 3 flavors from the many choices available. We decided to go with the not so hot flavors as it was over 100 degrees outside. Our sauces included; Thai Curry, Gochujang, Korean Pepper, and Pineapple Teriyaki. We also decided to get the Lobster Mac N Cheese and the cauliflower bites.
When the wings arrived we quickly noticed that we had ordered too much food lol but we were up for the challenge. The wings were large and plump, crispy yet moist. They were cooked perfectly. The sauces were also tossed on the wings even around all the wings. The Thai Curry is the most authentic I have ever tasted on a wing, can't even compare them to BWW version. The Korean Pepper was also really good and they had a little kick that made them even better, we also love the Pineapple Teriyaki. We also decided to try their secret spicy sauce. These sauces are really spicy but unlike most other overpowering spicy wings they had a ton a flavor. If you can handle heat ask for these sauces.
Next we tried the Mac N Cheese. Let's just say that it is heavenly. We added Lobster to it and it was honestly one of the best macs I ever tasted. The Cheez It crumbs was a very surprising nice addition. Very large portion too. Get this!
Lastly we tried the breaded cauliflower. Again this was amazing. Veggie was fresh and the breading was perfect and crisp. It was the perfect ratio of breading too and it tasted even better. The only things that disappointed us is that we were too full to try their other specialities like the breaded mushrooms and fried pickle spears.
The place itself was very nicely laid out and family friendly. No need to be yelling over loud TVs just to talk to the person sitting next to you. Great outdoor seating too and the staff is super friendly and keeps the places clean.
This is THE place to get...
Read moreI don’t normally leave bad reviews, but customers need to be aware of where they spend their money. I hope the restaurant uses this review as feedback to improve.
Starting with the customer service: Customer service was a little questionable. I asked to have my 2 flavor wings split into 2 boxes, and was told that I’d have to split them into different boxes myself. I don’t feel like I was asking for much. They could’ve just done it if they were gonna pack it and give me an extra box anyways.
2nd, they’re card only and aren’t accepting cash according to the sign at the counter, yet the employee behind the counter wouldn’t let me insert my card, and kept handling my card during the transaction. We’re in a pandemic right now, By handling other people’s cards, it’s the same as handling cash. I continued to watch the employee and she did not wash her hands in between transactions.
3rd, please teach your employees to pour a beer. I watched her attempt to pour it 3 times and fail before going to ask for help.
Now let’s get to the food: I spent $24 on Mac and cheese with bacon and a 10 piece traditional wing with garlic Parmesan and buffalo.
The wings were truthfully “ok” at best. The garlic Parmesan tasted like a Caesar salad dressing that you can get from a store. My wife ate one buffalo wing before throwing the rest out. There was no flavor to the buffalo wings.
The Mac and cheese didn’t even meet the “ok” mark. I’m a huge Mac and cheese lover, but whatever that was is not good. I paid an extra $3 for bacon, and MAYBE was given half a strip of diced up bacon. $3 might be an acceptable price for higher end meats such as steak or chicken, but for bacon that’s overpriced especially at the portion sized given.
I don’t even want to get started on the Mac noodles or the cheese sauce. It tasted like it was made out of used bath water.
I was really looking forward to this restaurant, and was met with disappointment across the board. I normally give 2nd chances, but I hesitate at the thought giving one.
Again I don’t like to give bad reviews, this is truly the first time I’ve ever given...
Read moreThis place is definitely not 4+ stars. I love wings and was very disappointed in this place: food, service, and price
First, the wings: the texture was like the frozen Tyson chicken wings you get from Costco. Large size, but no crisp edges like fresh wings that have been dried. The buffalo sauce was overly salty and not tangy enough.
Price: $22 for a 10 piece combo?! For the price, the amount of tots was not enough. The tots were crisp but tasted like old oil. Also, they have the audacity to have the tip prompt when ordering with the lowest option being 15% when all they do is drop the food off at your table (see service below). I definitely would not have tipped so much had I known the service situation
Service: basically non-existent. I came on a Saturday at 2pm and it was very crowded. The Line to order was short so didn’t think it was too bad. Walked around and there were no empty tables. Waited around for a table to free up and heard someone go to the counter to complain that they had been waiting for their food for an hour. If the cashier knew it would take 30 minutes, I think they should warn people when they order. It ended up taking 50mins minutes to get my food. A table finally opened up and it was dirty: the place is too busy to rely on customers to bus tables themselves. They really need to make sure they thoroughly wipe every table before the next customer sits. There were many tables with spilt wing sauce on them. It’s kind of ridiculous
Bottom line: if you love wings, don’t get tricked by the 4+ stars....
