Terrible fries and pick up was awful. Ordered online ahead of time so I could limit my exposure to people. The system stated the order would be ready at 7:30pm. I got there at 7:30pm and go inside to pick up order. It was not ready, no big deal. I was thinking it would take a few more minutes. I waited for about 10 minutes. Its like they didn't even start the order. Finally get the food I paid for and took it home. The fries were basically just soaked in oil. I am not even sure they were fried. I couldn't bring them back because they were closing soon. Plus, I hate to do that to the workers. I am sure they want to go home. I put all the blame on the owner!! Train your staff and take pride in them and your business. Those fries were so gross. I basically just paid to throw them away. I did reach out to the store and have heard NOTHING. Way to step up and take care of your customers. I would have thought in the era of Covid and business losing customers, that a food business would be extra diligent in making good food. I will never go back to this Nancy Jo's. I have had the food at others, and may some day go back. But not for a lonnnnng time. That experience left a bad taste in my mouth, literally.
Bonus: Workers talking and hanging out with people that just come off the street and order. I thought we were trying to reduce exposure.

Read moreFood is a favorite. I always buy the special which comes with a reasonably sized burger and fries for $6.95. Across the board, Nancy’s is my favorite place to get a burger in Keizer and Market st. However, I typically head home around 1-4 on Fridays from my second job and order at Market st. so I can pick it up ready to go. The last 4 times I have called; the phone rings and rings, with no one answering. This has been over the last 2 months. I have repeatedly called for 20 minutes with no answer. I figured, “hey, good food, probably busy” only to get there and be the only one in line. Yesterday, I was still calling when I pulled up at 4 yesterday (started at 3:30) to see 2 girls hanging out back on their phones, smoking. When I pulled into the drive thru- the COOK took my order, got my money and brought my food. His name was Danny and he was fantastic, but unfortunately, it was his last day. As a manager, I was disappointed to see good staff leaving while 2 others hung out outside for 30 minutes together (no staggered breaks? 30 minute breaks?)and hope this gets addressed as this is the type of service that loses customers. Food=4.5; cook and his customer service =5; customer service from those who were supposed to...
Read moreI can definitely taste why Nancy Jo's Burgers have been voted the #BestBurger in the #WillametteValley for over a decade! This is the kinda burger that you take a big bite out of and say, "Now that's a good burger!" We were greeted right away, and the young man took our order efficiently. Our food came out maybe 10 minutes later, and he brought it right to us at the table. The patties are seasoned well and cooked smashburger style with plenty of cheese and bacon. Then you get the classic toppings of onions, tomato, lettuce, and lots of pickles! The veggies were fresh and crisp. And I love that they do ketchup mustard and mayo! They have several other toppings you can add on - but I wanted to keep it simple on this first try. The fries were sooooo good, well salted, and fried well. You have to try the fry sauce, too - it has lots of pickle flavor without chunks of pickle.
We went to the Market St. location in Salem. The parking situation is a little strange, but that's just the shopping center's poor setup. There is a drive-thru option, inside seating and outside for when the weather is nice. Bathrooms were well kept. All in all, it was a very pleasant...
