Breakfast with a view
Salem is always a good time. So many things to see and do. Very affordable, (unless you're staying in October) for families. Please, for the love of God, control your children when you enter these shops. Items are not cheap, some priceless. I did see too much of mockery. You don't like the lifestyle, fine. No need for unessesary comments just because you dont understand. Ask questions instead, the owners love to educate. But these kids and their moms were ruthless and so damn rude. Favorite shops personally are the Tibetan shop(so many religious and spiritual pieces not from here, right up my alley and the owners are so sweet. )and the shop with the viking ship replica out front. Both on the main strip. There are other hidden gems around town. I try to stay away from the more "commercialized" places. Not my vibe, I can make my own shirt and print something on it for less. I look for personal pieces, whether jewelry, one of a kind clothing etc. You go when the market is set up, there's so many fantastic local artists and their things don't say Made in China on it. Those are the gems of the city. Pirate museum smells horrid, like the wax museum did. Still enjoyed it when the kiddos were small though. Loved the Horror Movie museum. So many cool pieces, I wish it was bigger. Hope this was helpful. Just my opinions of course, so take it for...

A trip to Salem in October wouldn't be complete without stopping by the iconic Bewitched Sculpture, especially amidst the vibrant Halloween festivities. Located just on the fringes of the downtown area, the sculpture stands as a nostalgic nod to American pop culture from the 1960s.
When we visited on a Sunday morning, the ambiance was electric, with families and tourists soaking in the festive spirit. While the sculpture itself is a significant landmark, its popularity during the Halloween season can't be understated. Expect to find a bevy of eager visitors queued up for a picture with this iconic piece of TV history.
While it's a testament to the sculpture's enduring appeal, be prepared for the crowds. Nonetheless, it's a delightful experience that adds to the rich tapestry of stories and history that Salem has to offer. A must-visit for fans of the show and anyone looking to imbibe a bit of...
Read moreI, like many others my age, grew up watching Bewitched as a kid, so I thought this was super cool that Salem has a statue of Elizabeth Montgomery, aka "Samantha Stevens" on display in her honor.
I made it a point as soon as I got here to make sure I got a couple of photos of her. This bronze statue is absolutely beautiful, and the details are incredible where it looks exactly like her.
I understand the horrors that Salem has faced in the late 1600s, but this statue of a beloved fictional TV character shouldn't be scrutinized as I have read in several reviews. She was given to celebrate the shows contribution to helping Salem become a tourist attraction and not take away from its history.
I overall loved seeing this statue, and I definitely recommend making this a point for all visitors young and old to...
