I have been to many Chinese restaurants around South Salem and on the edge near Keizer, and this place has stood out to me as the best one yet. I'm not sure how it could get better.
The food is as excellent as the prices and portion sizes are. The people are quite friendly and seem to remember their customers, even if you just barely started becoming a regular. It's not been very busy whenever I've been in to pick up take-out or eaten in the restaurant, so it's always been a quiet place to enjoy a meal.
I'm a big lo mein and fried rice fan, and it's quite hard to find a place that does both so dang well. Everytime I try someplace new, I just wish I had gone here instead. Aside those dishes, the all-day combinations offer some great choices but #2 with the Chicken Sub Gum and the Sweet and Sour Chicken is amazing as well. The SOSC coating is unlike any other version I've ever had. It's thinner and crispy, not puffy and bready. The Chicken Sub Gum was wonderfully savory and full of veggies, much like the Lo Mein which has a large amount of bean sprouts and a good amount of mixed veggies, same with the fried rice.
I should also mention that the fried rice is not too soft, isn't overly fried with enough soy sauce to darken it too much like so many other places do...every dish I've had here is perfect (when I add my own preference of soy sauce to the finished product).
They know how to make excellent food and do not skimp. I will say that I have forgotten what a certain nearby restaurant's food is like, but I know that last time I had their food last year, it was on my list for favorites. If I can update this review later, I will, but for now...This place is honestly the ONLY place I will go...even if I have to travel 15minutes to get there.
Give this place the business...
Read moreI first came here two years ago and was blown away—and I’ve been coming back ever since! This family-owned gem continues to serve amazing food with friendly, welcoming service that makes you feel right at home.
On my first visit, I had the General Tso’s chicken—crispy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced—and it’s still one of my go-to favorites. Their orange chicken? A solid 10 out of 10. I love it a little crispy, and they always deliver.
We also had the crab puffs (SO good), and the chicken dumplings were tender and full of flavor. The chicken lo mein was excellent, too. Portions are generous, and the pricing is super reasonable, which makes this place even more of a treasure.
The staff is always kind, fast, and attentive. You can tell they care about what they do and the people they serve.
If you haven’t tried this place yet, you’re seriously missing out. Thank you again to this awesome team—you’ve got a loyal customer...
Read moreAMAZING Chinese food. Gracious employees. We walked in to make an order to go. We had never been here before but were greeted as soon as we walked in. The server was helping others but looked up, smiled and said hello. We went to the counter to check out the to go menus and were shown to a table, and handed the regular menus, where we could look through them at our leisure. The server walked by our table and asked if we were ready to order, which we were. When finished taking our order, she offered us each a glass of water while we waited. It took very little time for our order to be ready. It smelled so good that it made a 20 minute drive home feel like 40. Whe. We got home and started our meals, we were greatly pleased. The portions are exceptional and the food divine. You can taste the freshness in the vegetables and the sauces. We will definitely go back and highly recommend them if...
