From the moment you step into Angelles, you are greeted with the kind of warm, welcoming atmosphere that promises an authentic Southern dining experience. The restaurant embodies the essence of Southern hospitality, ensuring that every guest feels like part of the family. The menu at Angelles is a treasure trove of Southern classics, each dish prepared with love and an attention to detail that can only come from a deep-rooted passion for comfort food. Whether you're indulging in their perfectly crispy fried chicken, savoring the rich and creamy macaroni and cheese, or diving into a slice of their heavenly pecan pie, Angelles consistently delivers on the promise of a truly satisfying meal. The magic of Angelles doesn't just lie in the food, but also in the exceptional service. The staff here go above and beyond to make sure your dining experience is nothing short of remarkable. They serve up smiles as readily as they do their delicious fare, making sure that your water glass is always full, your orders arrive promptly, and any special requests are met with a can-do attitude. What sets Angelles apart is the unmistakable authenticity of its cuisine. Each dish is a testament to the rich culinary traditions of the South. The flavors are bold, the portions are generous, and the quality is consistent. It's the kind of place where you can taste the history in every bite, and where modern culinary techniques are seamlessly blended with time-honored recipes. In a world where dining out can often feel impersonal, Angelles is a refreshing reminder of what it means to be served with genuine care. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Angelles ensures that you'll leave with a full belly and a warm heart, already planning your next visit. For anyone craving a taste of the South, or simply looking for a dining experience that feels like home, Angelles is a must-visit destination. It's not just a meal; it's an experience that captures the spirit of Southern cooking and hospitality at its finest.

I had a long drive and was looking for a place to get dinner that wasn't fast food, and where I could hopefully have some space to do some homework while I took my break, and decided to give Angelle's a try based on the reviews. I prefer diners over chains restaurants, so I thought this would be a good option. It's not really a diner--but it has everything you'd expect from a diner menu. I had the 10 oz. sirloin, baked potato, and broccoli. The sirloin wasn't steakhouse quality, but was decent and what I expected for a diner steak at the price point; the baked potato had a generous portion of sour cream and the broccoli was cooked just right. I was happy with the food, but what impressed me more was the restaurant itself and the service. My server, Angie, was FANTASTIC (I'm an easy customer!), super friendly, didn't rush me (I eat slow), and after I finished she encouraged me to stay as long as I wanted to continue my homework, but I didn't stay because I had to get back to driving. This was also hands down the CLEANEST restaurant I've ever eaten in, seriously. Everything was SPOTLESS, like I could have eaten off the floor clean. I will definitely be back the next time I'm traveling down the 81 corridor, and recommend it to anyone doing the same.

Haven't been here in a while came in today 9-30-25. Got the meatloaf, mashed potatoes with gravy, and Mac and cheese. The person with me got chicken broccoli Alfredo meal with salad. As an appetizer we got mozzarella sticks. Good: 1. Portion size was huge even with prices very large portions. 2. Mashed potatoes and gravy tasted great. 3. Mozzarella sticks were very good. 4. Salad was delicious. Bad: 1. Meatloaf was very dry. Tasted as if it was at least a day old. 2. Meatloaf was bland and tasted burnt. 3. Chicken broccoli Alfredo the noodles were way over cooked and pretty much turned to mush. The manager on duty did comp the meal even though I was prepared to leave the food and pay full price. She did also ask us if we wanted it remade however the food had already literally put a bad after taste in our mouths. So kudos on that but sadly I feel we won't be back. Pictures included.

Extremely understaffed, slow service, and poorly managed. Menu options are questionable, overpriced, and undersized.

None of the staff seemed to know what they were doing. Took 10 minutes to be seated as a party of two with plenty of tables open. The girl bussing the tables had to seat us because the host was nowhere to be found, and when he did appear, he seated another party of two ahead of us although we were there first.

Our server was EXTREMELY overwhelmed with what seemed to be more than 10+ tables assigned. She didn't know much about the menu or drinks, and when asked about drinks, it took over 10 minutes to get answers. Overall, it took 20 minutes just to put in a drink order and appetizer, then another 10 minutes to get the drinks. When we finally got the appetizer, it was just seconds ahead of our actual food. I asked for a second beer while I waited for my chicken salad to come out and never got it. Presumably because it was never put in (wasn't on my check when she brought it). Server spent more time offering apologies for neglecting us than she did serving us.

Food was very subpar. Bacon ranch cheese fries were nothing spectacular and pretty small for $8.00. Shrimp and grits were the "special" of the night, but nothing special about it. Just buttered cheese grits with boiled shrimp and cherry tomatoes. Chicken salad lacked the right amount of chicken and what was there, was dry and chewy. Worst of all... they put hamburger meat in the Gumbo. Gross!! As someone born and raised in New Orleans, hamburger in Gumbo is just sacrilegious.

Would not recommend this place at all. 2 stars only because I've actually had worse.

Go to Gina's "Food with Flavor" instead. Much better...

So I have waited 12 days for this post. Hoping they would resolve me issues. But here ya go.. Aug 10 my husband and I go for breakfast. It wasn't a busy morning, many tables were open, but yet we waited a good 10mins to get our orders in. Followed by another long wait to get our food. Which wasnt a big deal that day, we weren't in a huge hurry. So we will let those pass. Issue came in when we go to pay. Waitress dropped our ticket off, I handed her my card. Time passes and no return w my card/receipt. Same with the ppl who were sitting behind us. They got up and met our waitress at the bar so they could get their change. I stand up walk towards the bar and the waitress continues to talk to a gentleman. No acklowedgment of me standing there patiently waiting. After a few hints of me waiting. She hands me my card and receipt. No thank you for waiting, or thank you for coming in, etc. Ok so no big deal. I can get past that. My issue continues when I check my bank account and I was charged for 2 separate charges. I only ate there once that day. So, go in a few days later to speak w manager, show her the issue and gave her my number. No resolution for 1 week. (Waited for my bank to clear) it never happened. So, I called again 2 days ago. Manager explained he will do everything in his power to make this right. Well, nothing has happened yet!! 12 days. We will never return. Not worth this headache.

Aug 30- update. No refund still...how much longer do I need to wait for you "to make...
