Buns Bakery — Restaurant in Salt Lake City

My husband and I have had their buns a few times, with a few orders and some free samples. They were fantastic!!! One time they were delivered still warm from the oven!! Those few times made us decide we should order local from them for special occasions and when family visits.

Our most recent order was different though. They still tasted good, but were definitely not fresh. I feel like we paid full price for 2 day old rolls. They were firm, and took some force to cut with a fork, even before and after being microwaved for a bit.

We gave 4 stars because the other times we’ve had their buns they were great, but we’ve now had some mixed results. I think if we order again we would go to the store instead of having them delivered, just to check if they’re fresh...

I was told by Brad I believe his name was, that these buns would be absolutely delicious, so I ordered a dozen orange/cranberry for Thanksgiving. They were delivered to me the night before and sorry to say I did not look at them, I just put them away to wait for Thanksgiving to place them on our table for dinner. Wow, what a surprise! They were not fully cooked through and were so doughy inside that I ended up throwing them away. I could not have baked them longer in order for them to be done unless I wanted to scrape all the orange/cranberry frosting off. I sent them a message with no response, I would never recommend them to any of my family...

Wow, these are incredible! I had the cinnamon buns with the most amazing frosting and I couldn't stop eating them! I would give them 6 stars if I could. I will defiantly be back.

The location is a little hard to find, because it is in a row office type building, but once located it is worth the effort.

Also, the owner (or owner's son) is a gem, so charming! All he talked about was how it was his Mom's recipe and how proud he was of her. Love it. All-in-all a great experience. Check them out, you...
