Before visiting the restaurant, I called ahead to confirm the availability of charro beans and was assured that they were an option. Unfortunately, when I arrived, I found that charro beans were not listed on the menu. I opted for the carne guisada plate, which was on special for around $10 and change, and requested an additional bowl of charro beans for $5. However, the dish arrived with a small bowl, contrary to my expectations. I asked that the charro beans be replaced with refried beans, but they were never brought to the table. Despite my prior inquiry, my experience was marred by a series of misunderstandings. One of the owners, with whom I have a long-standing acquaintance, greeted me warmly, but did not discuss the issue, leading me to complete my meal and pay without further comment.

I had the huevos rancheros, my wife had the oatmeal, and my daughter had the chilaquiles. The food was very good with homemade tortillas. The service was extremely slow. From the time we were seated to the time we left was almost 2 hours. But to their defense we came on grand opening day. I'm sure that will improve with time. I'll be back to try lunch or dinner, hopefully the service gets better!

If you want to enjoy great Mexican food at a super nice location, this is a place for you! Parking can be a little tricky on busy days, but it is well worth it. Food is really good, service very friendly, the premises are clean and very nicely decorated, you are right next to the river, surrounded by pieces of art. Prices are incredibly accessible!

I was really excited when this restaurant opened near my home, but I’ve been disappointed with the service every time I’ve visited. The customer service consistently feels low — the staff often make me feel like I’m bothering them just by being there.

On my most recent visit, I waited over 25 minutes for simple to-go tacos, and the restaurant wasn’t even busy. No one updated me or brought my order out; I eventually had to go up and ask for it myself.

This also happens when I dine in. I’ve waited long periods just for someone to bring the check, and the checkout process is confusing — sometimes they tell me to wait at the table, other times they tell me I have to walk to the register.

Overall, the food is good, but the service and consistency need improvement. I truly hoped this would be my go-to spot since it’s so close, but the experience has been...

We walked in and were seated after a reasonable wait, and getting drinks at the bar was smooth — the best part of the visit. Unfortunately, service quickly declined. It took 15 minutes before anyone greeted us after we had sat down, and we weren’t asked about drinks until 10 minutes after ordering food. We waited 30 minutes only to be told our order was delayed and a key item (tripas) was unavailable. After reordering, then 5 minutes later we were asked if we wanted to cancel altogether — not ideal when you’re hungry. The food finally came 15 minutes later(just okay), and we were told the new items would be comped, then told it wouldn’t be, then finally asking for a manager it was comped. Two servers were trying to handle 40+ people in the back room. so refills and attention were rare....
