I used to love going to my chipotle. It is a block from my house, open until 11 now, and they always surprised me by making sure I was happy. A little extra chips here and a complementary soda there. It's the only place I always made sure I had extra for the tip jar. Not anymore... Now there are these two young ladies working there who are rude as all get out. It's one thing to have a bad attitude like somehow I'm destroying your night and you don't want to be there and a whole other thing to be rolling your eyes and sighing and making me feel bad for adding a drink or for not wanting the side of queso because you are out of chips. And the time before that the other young lady very rudely insisted that any extra steak is an extra charge when she just told me they are out of everything for me to put on my salad bowl. So I have zero options AND I'm paying 5 extra dollars to not have to eat just lettuce. When I got home I very sadly chewed my $15 bowl of lettuce and meat. Thinking I should complain in the morning or call customer service and get a different meal. And wondering how many drama filled nights await me in my ordering future. So anyway, I have never made a review for any place. This is my first. & Maybe at 38 I'm just a sensitive complaining old lady. But I am extremely disappointed that not only is my special place no more but now I don't want to get food from the only good place near me because it is hostile. There were more instances of rudeness on those two visits but I felt that was enough to prove my point. I guess if you're not a young college student don't go to the Alamo Heights Chipotle at night. Some pre-21 year-old girls might over charge you and make you regret wanting chips...
Read moreSadly, this location has gone downhill over the past couple of years. Every time I order either pick-up or delivery from this location, something is wrong, missing or packaged poorly; and the management is unprofessional and unaccommodating.
I used to eat here all the time — and should have guessed there were other issues when they suddenly closed down — unannounced — early one night in Dec. 2021 for a deep clean, as other locations were still open, business as usual.
Today, we are missing a couple of items — AGAIN — and our three tacos are packaged together on a single piece of foil. They were so soggy that the flour tortillas had broken down and had to be eaten with a fork. Even the smallest Mom and Pop Mexican restaurants respect their tacos more by individually wrapping each one. I mean, seriously, how much more would (2) pieces of foil cost for a trio of $13 tacos?
Since the Chipotle app doesn’t automatically indicate which store prepped the food, I was forced to call an 800#, spending another 15-min attempting to get some type of credit or refund, only to get a partial refund for the missing items.
I’m not sure if anyone else is having similar experiences, but it seems the pandemic has been used as an excuse for substandard products and services as of late. It’s notable that for decades, many types of other restaurants have been delivering food with very few errors — pizza, Asian food, etc. — yet here we are with massive chains blaming poor training and management, and lazy workers on COVID.
Disappointing…I’ll be thinking twice before choosing...
Read moreI’ve been coming to this location for over 3 years regularly. Never had a complaint and usually keep to myself, eat my bowl, and leave. Today they served me raw chicken. I was very upset as I already ate a few bites and then had to spit out a few raw pieces. I went to the counter and told them that this is raw chicken and that it could kill someone. The guy grabbed a lady who decided to take her time to help me. She asked for my bowl and moved the food around and said it looked fine to her. Pretty much questioning my integrity, which she then asked what did I want, by which I asked for a refund. What gets me is that she never apologized or assured me that this won’t happen again. She treated me like an animal or a nobody and that I meant nothing. Nor did she provide me her name as her response was that she didn’t have to give it to me. Then a customer who had no clue what was going on decided to intervene and treat me like some crazy person. I’ve never had an experience like this ever in my entire life. I am very upset with this establishment and will never return again. Be careful guys when you eat the chicken. I literally just got home and vomited what I could out with the hopes to avoid getting sick from this. I didn’t know this could happen but...
