By all means, this was my first time coming to Firehouse Subs. My girlfriend spoke highly of it from her first time trying their food two or three years ago at this location. It probably changed a lot since then because when we entered ONLY the tall guy working the line/making the sandwiches said hello to me and my girlfriend; but my concern is the other staff member. This was around 3:40pm today and the cashier came up without a greeting, and already he anticipated for us to place our order. I’m not sure if he was having a bad day but it really made us aggravated and not want to be there by his attitude and my first impression of eating here. He spoke softly for us to understand him at all and he wasn’t polite about the questions we had about the combos, just all around rude. Soon after we had ordered, a customer which I think was a fireman had ordered earlier, he came up to ask about his sandwich because it didn’t match what he wanted on the receipt I assume and the guy making the sandwiches was giving exceptional customer service and attention to his needs. To see right after the cashier rolled his eyes and that really ticked me. I don’t see what the hell his problem was but it was not okay and I’m not one to aim at one person like this. I just had throw this out there and our food and my first time coming to Firehouse Subs made us a...
Read moreI have been to Firehouse Subs in many cities and have not always had the best food, but quality service. This was the worst location I have ever been to. The stars are for the food because it was good, but the service was atrocious and should be brought to the attention of manager or supervisor. We came in during the lunch rush (nothing close to the rush in Austin location or other places I have been to) with to go orders that had been placed an hour earlier. The cashier greeted us with an attitude of annoyance and frustration and when we told her our names and orders she would check ONE bag in a stack of to go orders and then tell us to move aside. After waiting we finally asked to look through the stack and found that it had been our orders. While waiting we also witnessed an employee preparing sandwiches throw a container angrily across the room and it slammed into the wall loudly. No comments or apologies were made. The cashier continued to treat each costumer as an inconvenience. I am very disappointed in the quality of service at this location as it tarnished many of my friend's first impression of Firehouse Subs. I hope this issue is addressed so that these young employees can improve and provide a better experience for...
Read moreI love the food - service is horrible.
Even if you call in an order and pre-pay for it over the phone on a credit card - the staff will not check for your order until you stand in line all the way to the register.
For a location next to one of the largest and busiest medical centers in the US - not to mention a location literally across the highway from one of the largest insurance centers in the world, USAA. - not having prepaid orders ready to go and available at a separate "Order PickUp" station in the small margin, quick turnover world of fast food service is just....well....stupid
I LOVE the food - but I do not like or appreciate the "well you will just have to wait until we get to you" attitude you get from the staff at this location
Time is money
NOW I call my lunch orders into, and spend my hurried lunch money at, at the JASON'S DELI location less than a half-block further South from Firehouse.
I call my order in - pay by credit card - pick up that order at the pick up counter (avoiding the long line to order) - and am back to work in less than 20 minutes.
If you have a hectic work schedule like most of us - you might want to keep the...
