I ordered from the online service. I went through Five Guys online, not Doordash. Five guys uses Door dash like Wingstop or some other places. Our order was over an hour late. We didn't think it get here so at 45 minutes late I called the location. The manager talked to my wife and said only the GM could take care of our issue. I chose to speak to the manager at this point. Anyone who has worked in service industry knows a manager can rectify any issue with order or payment. When I told the manager that was absurd he continued to say that he could not do anything. I said that if he could not handle customer complaints than he was not very good at his job. He hung up on me. I called back right away and asked to speak to a manager. After waiting, Chris answered. I asked if he was a manager or someone that could handle my issue. He said he was Chris. When I asked to speak to a manager he said I didn't need to talk to anyone like that. I said I didn't use profanity and I wasn't angry, but I was just an unsatisfied customer that needed a manager. I said part of a managers job is to handle customer complaints. If the current manager could not help customers he should not be in a position to rectify customer issues. Chris proceeded to tell me I was wrong. That we ordered from DoorDash and it was not an issue they could or would deal with.
First, we have ordered from Wingstop and have had issues before and the people at Wingstop were super helpful. And, similarly to Five Guys, Wingstop uses DoorDash. Second, a manager should be prepared to deal with this issue and not have to pass the phone to some other person to explain what is going on with their location. My recommendation, avoid this Give Guys. There are other burger locations around it. Also, Five Guys should have trained this manager better. Poor performance and all around bad management...
Read moreMy most recent trip for lunch to Five Guys was the worst dining experience I've ever had. I recently went for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. I had just complete a group bike ride and I had my cycling gear on. As I approached the register, the young man tending to the register proceeded to call me "Bicycle Bob". I said no. He started saying about 5-10 other names. When he finished I looked at him and told him my name was Chris. I ordered lunch and finished paying. At this time I think I was just in total shock at what just happened. About 3/4 of the way through my lunch the same young gentleman approached me again and said, "How's lunch Richard"? I assume he was calling me Richard which if shortened would be "dick". I was completely in shock! I didn't want to cause a scene with the other patrons in Five Guys. So I immediately left. I was so pissed! I've calmed down today so I do plan on going back into the restaurant to talk to the Manager about this young gentleman's behavior. I'll never eat at that Five Guys location again. What an insult! I cannot believe I'm the only patron that this young man has singled...
Read moreJust had a Five Guys burger and I wasn't that impressed. The burger was average and something I could have made at home. I would like a burger place that had a specialty, like this is what we do well. Theirs is more like create your own burger. The girl behind the register really rubbed me the wrong way. When I got there she asked me if I had been there before I said no and then she starts explaining their menu while shaking the tip jar in front of me like she was reminding me to tip. Food was for dine in and they made it to go. One of the burgers was supposed to have bacon but they forgot it. If your going to charge extra for bacon you better make sure you put bacon on the burger. Then as I was eating she asked if everything was ok and got uncomfortably close to the table and stayed there, back up you see I'm eating. Then she was cleaning the rugs and shook them outside and all of the dirt got on the car that I just hand washed less than an hour before. Of course I won't be going...
