(Why is there not a “0 star” rating!?) I’ve been to MOD Pizza in Stone Oak twice, declious pizza and wonderful service both times. My boyfriend and I decided to go to MOD Pizza at this location and as soon as we walked through the door we could feel the difference in the environment. First off the lady that made our pizza was not polite at all, acting like we were impeding on her time. The guy that put our pizza in the oven the first was very nice about us wanting our pizza extra crispy. However, the guy who took of pizzas out wasn’t so pleasant. First, he took my pizza out and threw it on the counter top without the wax paper. I was thinking that’s just the way they do it at this location, because at Stone Oak they put the wax paper under our pizza both times. BUT he put the wax paper down for the orders after ours. I ask why we didn’t get wax paper like the other orders and he ignored me. Next, he slams my boyfriends pizza on the countertop(without wax paper). Then he walks away to spin the other pizza, as we wait for him to finish so he can box our pizza and we can go. He just stands there, I had to ask him if he could box our pizzas, he looked at me and huffed; like he didn’t want to do it or he didn’t feel like getting to it. After that I was over MOD pizza at De Zavala. We get in the car to go home and my boyfriend opens the box to enjoy a slice and THE DOUGH ISNT DONE!!!!!! Through all of that terrible customer service we quickly returned and got a refund. I know sometimes people get on these reviews and over exaggerate and act dramatic, but this was the worst service and we didn’t even get to eat the pizza. Needless to say we will not be returning to this location from now on MOD Pizza at Stone Oak will always...
Read morePros: It is good, tasty pizza. I prefer it to any of the delivery options. Cons: Service and quality has deteriorated over the past few months. Twice in the past few weeks my order was not ready when promised. It actually wasn't even prepped when I arrived. I tried ordering verbally over the phone and online with the same poor results. The pizza itself was soggy and sloppy on my last order. The staff which used to be so friendly and efficient is now led (I believe he's the manager) by a rude guy with no customer service skills. He argued about my order time and ready time, he kept interrupting me, he kept repeating his same "argument" about how he was doing his job. There's nothing worse than an arrogant service "professional" who doesn't listen to his customers and makes excuses for bad service. Behind him the workers looked uncomfortable about his arguing with me. I was ready to walk out, but I had prepaid and needed to get a refund. He just kept interrupting and being disrespectful to a repeat customer. I don't care how good a product may be, there are too many options in this world to deal with poor customer service. Whoever the short guy with black hair is, he shouldn't be leading this store. I won't go back, and I'll make sure word of mouth is shared so others don't have any service expectations at...
Read moreThe De Zavala location was terrible. The restroom was broken. No sign was posted. One of MOD's employees kept shouting at me over the music that was playing. I decided to walk across the parking lot to Wing Stop and use their restroom instead. My Wife stayed in line at MOD to place our 🍕 order.
I was placing a small order with the cashier at Wing Stop (as to not be a complete jerk #TruePatron) and suddenly my wife appears! She is visibly upset. I asked her what's wrong and she just says "we are eating here!" I ask what happened to the pizza? She says "The guy that was making the pies kept wiping his nose and touching the dough!!!"
I'm not gonna lie. I wanted to throw up a little. I turned around and asked Wing Stop's cashier to change my order. We stayed at Wing Stop and watched the Toronto/Orlando game. Their staff was awesome! The food was pretty good too...
Don't get me wrong. I am a fan of MOD Pizza. Maybe we caught them on a bad day??? We will not be returning to the De Zavala location. My wife won't let us.
The New Braunfels MOD Pizza (I-35 North #Exit 191) is spectacular! If you happen to be traveling that way - it's one of the best places...
