9/5/21 - One of the worst experiences we've had at a restaurant and we love to eat out on a regularly.I will only state the facts and try to be as clear and concise with my descriptions. We sit in a booth which has no illumination. We had to use a flashlight to read menu. No employee wore a mask while over our table. These kind of practices make it feel unsafe to eat there. We ordered 2 coffees w/ water. She brought our coffees by holding them by the mouthpieces. We finally asked busser for water again. The waitress finally took our order. 7 other tables came & went, then the sorry waitress finally came to ask (30min.later), if we had already eaten. We said no. That were still waiting for it. Then she asked what we ordered, because she didn't know what happened to our ticket. She said that they lost our order. I got up to tell them not to rush our order because the quality can suffer, but she did not let me finish my statement. (Hint: let people talk when they have a concern.) No apology was ever given! They did not want to ownership of their mistakes! That can infuriate a customer. Let this be a learning experience. Without customers, you have no business, then you will have to close. It's called customer service. We should have left at that point, but we gave them a chance to make it right. Bad move. Everyone got chips except us until my wife made eye contact then they brought them. My parrillada was lesser than. The chicken was seasoned nicely, but was overshadowed by the tough flavorless shrimp, the insipid beef fajitas & the over salted country sausage. It had more onions than anything else. Best thing was the rice & beans which were served in very small portions. The tortillas were were super thick & cardboardish. Not worth the time or money wasted on this place. We gave 15% , but wish we hadn't. The service was so bad. We will never return.

9/6/21 - Update, both my wife & I got an intestinal reaction from it. Thank God - we were at home. I am now concerned for the strays that we gave the leftovers to. I hope they fare better...

(Employees do not wear masks)The beans were good and the rice was even better, to bad they didn't serve much of it bc the main dish was extraordinarily ordinary. Coffee was good enough. Service started off not being bad but took a turn for the worse when we didn't get our water, didn't get chips that other tables did, and got our food at least after 6-7 tables that arrived after we did got theirs. When our server came to our table she stated that she never put our order in and that she didn't know where our ticket was. No apology was offered. My husband & I discussed how we would prefer to get good food late than have them rush poorly cooked food. Husband went to tell them so, but server just talked over him. Not only did she never offer an apology for the extreme delay, but she couldn't even let him say what he went up there to say. I would have thought that she would be outdoing herself to make up for her mistake and offer more coffee or even invite us to call her if we needed anything, but no such luck. We were the last people in the establishment and it will be the last time we go there. This locale has seen many owners and we have given most a chance, but like the other businesses before them have learned no one is indispensable. They need to step up their game to keep in the game. Much luck to you folks at...

I normally eat here all the time, honestly I’ve never had any bad experiences besides on time there was egg in my champurado last year around Christmas time but I still went back, they were always nice until they weren’t. This morning I bit into my taco and had a mouth full of powder? I’m unsure if it was my tortilla or beans (bean and cheese taco) but the powder immediately got stuck in my mouth and throat. It wasn’t just a little or sprinkled, I had a mouth full. I’ve never had lemon pepper seasoning but that’s what I thought it was, my mom said maybe it was baking soda but it was super intense. My mouth has been dry for an hour and I’ve tried to brush, rinse, gargle and everything. I’m wondering what could it have been to make my throat and mouth dry to where water doesn’t help. I hate leaving bad reviews but I have to. We tried to explain what happened, they said a manager would call us back. Never did, so we called and said we were going back. They threw a fit and told us they weren’t going to serve us anymore! Lol don’t go here. They are brats. And don’t value their customers at all. Sas. If my mouth stays like this and or I get sick, I’m returning with a hospital bill...

This is my first time here! Hole in the wall by hildebrand, I ordered the corn gorditas with bean and Chicharrón, another bean and picadillo, bean and cheese nachos, carne guisada tacos just like my grandma Elvira used to make, seriously the gorditas and carne guisada tacos like our grandparents used to make! Old school tacos! Also rice is delicious has corn a little bit to give it that great taste! Took my brother lunch at H‑E‑B right there, he said off the chain! Crispy taco is delicious! Bam 💥🥳💋✅ hot sauces are Amazing hot ! The lady was rolling tortillas homemade. We’ll need I say anymore! Hopefully they stay consistent! Love besos 😘❤️🥰 Yums

When we travel we prefer eating out at local, hole-in-the-wall type restaurants. Found this one on accident and it was meant to be. The food, atmosphere, and service were great. They have homemade flour and corn tortillas, as well as their Limonada. Between the 4 of us, we had the chorizo and egg breakfast, mini barbacoa tacos, burrito, huevos rancheros with added pork chop, and shrimp cocktail. We will most certainly be back... with more peeps!
